Marguerite De La Motte (June 22, 1902 – March 10, 1950) was an American film actress, most notably of the silent film era. Early years Born in Duluth, Minnesota, De La Motte was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph De La Motte. She was a 1917 graduate of the Egan School of drama, music, and dancing. De La Motte began her entertainment career studying ballet under Anna Pavlova. In 1919, she became the dance star of Sid Grauman on the stage of his theater. In 1918, at the age of 16, she made her screen debut in the Douglas Fairbanks-directed romantic comedy film ''Arizona''. In 1920, both of her parents died, her mother in January in an automobile accident and her father in August from heart disease. Film producer J.L. Frothingham assumed guardianship of her and her younger brother. Bill Patton (actor)
Bill Patton (June 2, 1894 – December 12, 1951) was an American actor of the silent and early sound eras. Born in Amarillo, Texas, he debuted in the film industry in ''The Boss of the Lazy Y'' in 1918. After small roles in several films, he received his first starring role in 1921's ''Outlawed''. Over the next six years he starred in more than 20 films. In 1927, he returned to smaller roles, which continued through the advent of talking pictures. His last performance on screen was in a small role in the classic ''The Picture of Dorian Gray'' in 1945. He died on December 12, 1951. George Field (actor)
George Field (March 18, 1877 – March 9, 1925) was an American silent film actor. Early life Born George Blankman Field to George Durgin Field and Elizabeth Blankman. Elizabeth was the daughter of dentist and attorney Dr. Henry Gerrit Blankman, born 3 May 1813 in Amsterdam, North Holland. He came to San Francisco from New York in June 1849. Elizabeth's mother was Magdelena del Valle, the niece and ward of the famous Mexican General Mariano de Vallejo and his brother Jose de Jesus de Vallejo. Career George began his career as a stage actor in the popular San Francisco theatre scene but was signed into film in 1912 and starred in 207 films until 1924. He also had a bit part in "Don Q Son of Zorro", where he was named as George Blankman. George and Winifred Greenwood worked at Flying A Studios in Santa Barbara. Harrish Ingraham (1881– ?), was a British film director, screenwriter and actor during the era of silent movies. Life Ingraham was born in London in 1881. He was educated at Bedford Modern School and the University of London. After the University of London he began his career as a school teacher.The Motion Picture Studio and Trade Journal, 4th Edition, 1917, p.190 Ingraham emigrated to the US in 1902 in stock with Forepaugh Company in Cincinnati, Ohio.
