ASV Cham
The ASV Cham is a German association football club from the city of Cham, Bavaria. The club's most notable achievement was playing in the second division from 1950 to 1962. History The ''ASV Cham'' was formed as a gymnastics club in 1863, under the name of TV Cham, which joined the local ''Freiwillige Feuerwehr'' in 1869 and was not refounded until 1880. ''TV'' established a football department in 1919 and, in 1925, ''SC Olympia Cham'' merged with the club. The footballers went independent as ''FC Chambia Cham'' in 1927, but rejoined the club in 1930. After the Second World War, ''TV'' was joined by another club, ''FC Cham'', adopting the current name, ASV Cham. The new club almost immediately enjoyed some success, earning promotion to the Landesliga Bayern (II) in 1949 by winning its local Oberpfalz league and then coming first in the promotion round. Lutz Pfannenstiel
Lutz Pfannenstiel (born 12 May 1973) is a German former professional football goalkeeper, coach, scout, TV analyst and the current sporting director for St. Louis City SC. He holds the record for the only footballer to play professionally in each of the six recognized continental associations. Since 2010, he has been a soccer analyst on various television networks – including ZDF, BBC, CNN, ORF, SRF, DAZN, Eurosport and ESPN, where he currently covers the Bundesliga with Derek Rae. The Regionalliga () is the fourth tier in the German football league system. Until 1974, it was the second tier in Germany. In 1994, it was introduced as the third tier. Upon the creation of the new nationwide 3. Liga in 2008, it became the fourth tier. Bezirksoberligen Bayern
The seven Bezirksoberligas Bayern were the third highest level of the Bavarian football league system, below the Bayernliga and the Landesliga Bayern from 1988 to 2012. They were the seventh tier of the German football league system. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the sixth tier of the league system, until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the fifth tier. Overview The seven Bezirksoberligas were introduced in 1988 to create a highest single-division playing level for each of the seven Bezirke. Before that the Bezirksligas were located right below the Landesliga in the pyramid. They were created upon suggestion of the 1. FC Sonthofen. The Bayernliga (English: Bavarian league) is the highest amateur football league and the second highest football league (under the Regionalliga Bayern) in the state of Bavaria (german: Bayern) and the Bavarian football league system. It is one of fourteen Oberligas in German football, the fifth tier of the German football league system. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the fourth tier of the league system, until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the third tier. Landesliga Bayern-Mitte (2012)
The Landesliga Bayern-Mitte ( en, State league Bavaria-Central) is currently the sixth tier of the German football league system in central and eastern Bavaria and the third tier of the Bavarian football league system. It is one of five Landesligas in Bavaria, the other four being the Landesliga Südwest, Landesliga Nordost, Landesliga Nordwest and Landesliga Südost. The league champion automatically qualifies for the Bayernliga, the runners-up needs to compete with the runners-up of the other four Landesligas and a number of Bayernliga teams for another promotion spot. The league replaced the Landesliga Bayern-Nord and the Landesliga Bayern-Mitte at this level, both formed in 1963 and disbanded in 2012.
