AGV Sports Group, Inc., based in Frederick, Maryland, designs and develops safety apparel for motorcycle road racing and sport use as well as snowmobile and bicycling apparel. History In 1947 Gino Amisano created AGV SpA. (Amisano Gino Valenza), a helmet manufacturer in Italy. In 1977 Michael Parrotte formed AGV USA after being granted the exclusive rights to distribute AGV helmets in the U.S. market by Gino Amisano, the founder of AGV. In 1985 AGV licensed AGV Sport to design and produce apparel and other products, excluding helmets, bearing the AGV name and trademark. The unique model of licensing the brand in different countries was the direct result of the original licensing agreement between AGV SpA and AGV Sports Group. By the early 1990s the AGVSPORT logo had replaced the AGV logo on most apparel for aesthetics reasons due to the different graphic requirements of apparel from helmets. Eric Bostrom
Eric Bostrom (born November 19, 1976 in San Francisco, California) is an American professional motorcycle racer and brother of Ben Bostrom, who also races motorcycles professionally. He is currently racing in the AMA Superbike series for Attack Kawasaki, but he is better known for being a member of the Austin Ducati and Parts Unlimited Ducati teams in 2004 and 2005, and perhaps best known for riding for the factory Kawasaki team from 1999 to 2003. Bostrom raced for Erion Honda in 1998 and Zero Gravity Racing in 1997. Statistically, Bostrom's best season was the 2001 season. Benjamin Bostrom (born May 7, 1974) is an American former professional motorcycle racer. From 1995 to 2011 he competed in the AMA Superbike Championship, the World Superbike Championship and the MotoGP world championship.. Kurtis Roberts, (born 17 November 1978 in Turlock, California) is an American motorcycle road racer. He is the youngest son of three-time 500cc World Champion Kenny Roberts, and the younger brother of 2000 500cc World Champion Kenny Roberts, Jr. He has raced in most major US and international motorcycle racing championships, in both Grand Prix and Superbike categories. Troy Bayliss (born 30 March 1969 in Taree, New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian motorcycle racer. During his career Bayliss won the Superbike World Championship three times and a MotoGP race, all with Ducati. He finished his career after winning the 2008 World Superbike title. Keith Code is an American former motorcycle racer, writer, and founder of the California Superbike School. He has been called "arguably the best known and most successful on-track motorcycle instructor in the world". Rider training Code founded the California Superbike School in 1980. Code's methodology has been taught to numerous championship winning riders such as Wayne Rainey, James Toseland and Leon Camier.
