On 6 June 1994, two Japanese tourists were robbed and attacked by two men in their shared room in the Oriental Hotel in Singapore. One of them was brutally assaulted and died, while the other survived. The case, known as the Oriental Hotel murder, was classified as murder by the police. The perpetrators were eventually caught 2 years later and they were subsequently sentenced to serve lengthy jail terms with caning for their part in the robbery and assault of the two tourists, as well as for unrelated offences committed before their arrests. Khairul Azman bin Mohamed (born 5 March 1968) is a former Malaysian footballer who was a goalkeeper for Pahang, Sabah and the Malaysia national team. Azman Ilham bin Haji Mohamed Noor (born 17 February 1984) is a Bruneian footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Kasuka FC of the Brunei Super League. Yank Azman (born October 19, 1947) is a Canadian television and film actor. Early life Azman was born in a displaced persons camp in Bad Wörishofen, Germany to Cesia (née Waishand), a sales clerk, and Kuba Zajfman, a tailor and furrier, Holocaust survivors from Chmielnik, Poland. Muhammad Syukri bin Azman (born 18 March 1997) is a Malaysian footballer who plays as a left-back. Club career Early year Born in Selangor, Syukri joined Selangor's youth system as a 16-year-old, and continued climbing through the ranks until reaching Selangor under-21 squad in 2016. Selangor Syukri was named on the first-team bench for the first time on 9 August 2016 by caretaker coach, K. Gunalan for a Malaysia Cup match against Pahang.
