Aziz Al-Hasan Ghouri
Aziz al-Hasan Ghouri (also known as Aziz al-Hasan Majzoob or Khwaja Aziz al-Hasan; 12 June 1884 – 17 August 1944) was an Indian Islamic scholar, poet and the primary biographer of Ashraf Ali Thanwi. He was an alumnus of Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College and an authorized disciple of Ashraf Ali Thanwi in Sufism. Ghouri held the titles of Khan Sahib and Khan Bahadur. His couplet ''Har Tamanna Dil Se Rukhsat Hogayi'' has been deemed to be one of the 100 most popular Urdu couplets. Thanwi commended it saying that if he had one hundred thousand rupees, he would give it to Ghouri. Biography Aziz al-Hasan Ghouri was born on 12 June 1884 in Orai. Khan Sahib is a compound of Khan (title), khan (leader) and sahib (master) - was a formal title of respect and honour, which was conferred mainly on Muslim, but also to Parsi, Irani (India), Irani, and Jewish subjects of the British Indian Empire. It was a title one degree lower than Khan Bahadur, but higher than that of Khan. The title was conferred along with a Title Badge (India), Title Badge and a citation (or ''sanad'') and the recipient was entitled to prefix the title to his name. The title was conferred on behalf of the British Indian Government by the Viceroy and Governor-General of India. Darul Uloom Deoband
The Darul Uloom Deoband is an Islamic seminary (darul uloom) in India at which the Sunni Deobandi Islamic movement began. It is located in Deoband, a town in Saharanpur district, Uttar Pradesh. The seminary was established by Muhammad Qasim Nanautavi, Fazlur Rahman Usmani, Sayyid Muhammad Abid and others in 1866. Mahmud Deobandi was the first teacher and Mahmud Hasan Deobandi was the first student. John Mohammed Butt is an Islamic scholar and broadcaster, known as the first Westerner to graduate from Darul Uloom Deoband. Early life Born in Trinidad in 1950, Butt spent his early life in Walton-on-Thames, England, and attended boarding school at Stonyhurst College before becoming a hippie and traveling to Pakistan. Conversion to Islam and life in Pakistan Arriving in Swat in 1969, he was impressed by the tribal way of life and (unlike most of his fellow hippies) settled in the area, learning Pashto and Dari (he speaks a total of seven languages). He converted to Islam in 1970. He studied for eight years at Darul Uloom Deoband in India, graduating in 1984, the only Westerner to do so since its foundation in 1866. Junaid Jamshed Khan ( ur, ; 3 September 1964 – 7 December 2016) was a Pakistani singer-songwriter, television personality, fashion designer, actor, and preacher. After graduating with a degree in engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore, Jamshed briefly worked as a civilian contractor and engineer for the Pakistan Air Force before focusing on a musical career. Jamshed first gained nationwide and international recognition as the vocalist of Vital Signs. Their 1987 album, ''Vital Signs 1'' included the hit singles "Dil Dil Pakistan", and "Tum Mil Gaye". The commercial success of the album helped develop Pakistan's rock music industry.
