The Azerbaijan Basketball Federation ( Azerbaijani: ''Azərbaycan Basketbol Federasiyası''), also known as ABF, is the national governing body of basketball in Azerbaijan. It was founded in 1992, and is headquartered in Baku. The Azerbaijan Basketball Federation operates the Azerbaijan men's national team and Azerbaijan women's national team. EuroBasket Women is a biennial international women's basketball competition held between the nations of FIBA Europe for women's national teams. EuroBasket Women is also used as a qualifying tournament for the FIBA Women's World Cup and also the Olympic Games. The 2023 European Women Basketball Championship, commonly called EuroBasket Women 2023, was the 39th edition of the continental tournament in women's basketball, sanctioned by the FIBA Europe. The 2027 EuroBasket Women, commonly called EuroBasket Women 2027, will be the 41st edition of the continental tournament in women's basketball, sanctioned by the FIBA Europe. It will be held between 16 and 27 June 2027. It will be co-hosted by Espoo, Finland, and Vilnius and Klaipėda, Lithuania. Tiffany Kiara Hayes (born September 20, 1989) is an American-Azerbaijani professional basketball player for the Connecticut Sun of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Hayes played college basketball for the Connecticut Huskies, playing for the 2009 and 2010 NCAA National Champions. Early life Hayes was born September 20, 1989 in Fort Polk, a town in western Louisiana to Dorothy and Renard Hayes.
