Azam Jahi Mills, Warangal
Azam Jahi Mills (A.J. Mills) is a company established in Warangal district of the Kingdom of Hyderabad. Azam Jahi Mills was established by the 7th Nizam of Hyderabad Mir Osman Ali Khan in 1934 and is named after his 1st son - Prince Azam Jah. History The National Textile Corporation, of Bangalore had taken over the company in 1974. In 2008, the land was given to Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) which re-sold it by making plots. Out of the 200 acres, the NTC now reportedly owns 30 acres on which it proposes to set up an Apparel Park in view of public demand. It was functioning in full swing during the 1970s. It was a huge complex imparting to students the technologies of factories. Nearby was the ice factory run and owned by a Parsee gentleman. Warangal District
Warangal district, formerly Warangal Rural district, is a district in the Indian state of Telangana. The district shares boundaries with Mahabubabad, Jangaon, Hanamkonda, Mulugu and Bhupalpally districts. As of June 2021, Hanamkonda tentatively serves as the district headquarters of both Hanamkonda and Warangal districts. Warangal city is proposed to replace Hanamkonda as the new headquarters of the Warangal district. The district was formed in 2016 by carving out Warangal Rural district from the erstwhile Warangal district. In August 2021, the Warangal Rural district was renamed back to Warangal district. Warangal and Khila Warangal mandals are transferred to the newly-formed Warangal district. Hyderabad State
Hyderabad State () was a princely state located in the south-central Deccan region of India with its capital at the city of Hyderabad. It is now divided into the present-day state of Telangana, the Kalyana-Karnataka region of Karnataka, and the Marathwada region of Maharashtra in India. The state was ruled from 1724 to 1857 by the Nizam, who was initially a viceroy of the Mughal empire in the Deccan. Hyderabad gradually became the first princely state to come under British paramountcy signing a subsidiary alliance agreement. During British rule in 1901 the state had an average revenue of Rs. 417,000,000, making it the wealthiest princely state in India. Mir Osman Ali Khan
Mir Osman Ali Khan, Asaf Jah VII (5 or 6 April 1886 — 24 February 1967), was the last Nizam (ruler) of the Princely State of Hyderabad, the largest princely state in British India. He ascended the throne on 29 August 1911, at the age of 25 and ruled the Kingdom of Hyderabad between 1911 and 1948, until India annexed it. He was styled as His Exalted Highness-(H.E.H) the Nizam of Hyderabad, and was widely considered as one of the world's wealthiest person of all time. With some estimate placing his wealth at 2% of U.S. GDP, his portrait was on the cover of ''Time magazine'' in 1937. Azam Jah, Damat Walashan Sahebzada Nawab Sir Mir Himayat Ali Khan Siddiqi Bahadur Bayaffendi ( ur, اعظم جاہ داماد والاشان صاحب زادہ نواب سر میر حمایت علی خان بہادر بے آفندی) (21/22 February 1907 – 9 October 1970) was the eldest son of the seventh and last nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Osman Ali Khan, Asaf Jah VII and Sahebzadi Azam unnisa Begum, daughter of Sahebzada Mir Jahangir Ali Khan Siddiqi. National Textile Corporation is a central public sector undertaking under the ownership of Ministry of Textiles , Government of India It owns 23 working textile mills which produce yarn and fabric. Nizam's Guaranteed State Railway
Nizam's Guaranteed State Railway (NGSR) was a railway company operating in India from 1879 to 1950. It was owned by the Nizams of Hyderabad State, and its full name was ''His Exalted Highness, The Nizam's Guaranteed State Railway''. The company began with a line built privately by the HEH, the Nizam, which was owned and operated by the company under a guarantee from the Hyderabad State, much to the dismay of the British authorities.
