Deandre Edoneille Ayton Sr. (born July 23, 1998) is a Bahamian professional basketball player who plays for the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played for the Arizona Wildcats in the Pac-12 Conference in the 2017–18 season and was a consensus five-star prospect in the Class of 2017, as well as a McDonald's All-American. Ayton was selected with the first overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft by the Suns. He was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2019. In 2021, Ayton helped lead the Phoenix Suns to their first NBA Finals appearance since 1993. Fanny Ayton
Fanny Ayton (1806–1891) was an English soprano known for her operatic performances in London in the late 1820s. Career She was born in Macclesfield. She was taught singing by Manielli at Florence. Her first public appearance, in Italy, was so successfully that John Ebers engaged her for the season of 1827 at the Her Majesty's Theatre, King's Theatre, at a salary of £500. She made her appearances there in two Rossini operas, as Ninetta in ''La gazza ladra'' (3 February) and as Fiorilla in ''Il Turco in Italia''. In the same year she sang at Drury Lane in an English version of ''Il Turco'' and as Rosetta in ''Love in a Village''. She also played in the provinces, and sang in concerts with fair success. Frank Ayton
Frank Ayton (10 January 1873, Hexham – 24 January 1956) was an English electrical engineer. He was a pioneer of electric vehicles. He was a founder of the Electrical Vehicle Committee of Great Britain, later the Electric Vehicle Association of Great Britain. He edited the journal ''Electric Vehicle''. Frank was born in Hexham, Northumberland, and attended the Imperial Service College in Windsor. He then studied at Finsbury Technical College before working for Siemens Brothers in Woolwich. John Ayton MBE (born 1962/1963), is a British businessman and investor in the luxury goods industry, and the co-founder of Links of London and Annoushka, an English jewellery brand founded in 2009. Early life Ayton was educated at Oundle School and graduated in modern history from Oxford University in 1983. Career After university, Ayton worked in corporate law in London and Hong Kong. Leaving the legal profession in 1995, he was on the advisory board of Halston Borghese Inc, a US-based cosmetics company, responsible for restructuring their Japanese and German operations. In 1990, together with his wife, jewellery designer Annoushka Ducas, Ayton co-founded Links of London, a jewellery brand with sales of over £50m. Richard Ayton (1786–1823), was an English dramatist and miscellaneous writer. Life Ayton was born in London in 1786 to William (''d''. 1799) and Mary Ayton. His father, a son of William Ayton, banker in Lombard Street, later moved to Macclesfield, Cheshire, and at its grammar school Ayton obtained a knowledge of Latin and Greek. In accordance with the wish of his father, who died in 1799, he was sent to study law at Manchester, and at the end of a year became the pupil of a barrister in London; but he never set himself seriously to prepare for a career. Robert Norton Ayton (1915–1985) was a British comics artist and illustrator who worked for the ''Eagle'' and Ladybird Books. He was born in Bowes Park, London and educated at the Harrow School of Art, and may also have attended the Central School of Art and Design and Hammersmith School of Art. He became a commercial artist with several advertising agencies before going freelance, drawing commissions for Castrol and Rolls-Royce among others. Sarah Lianne Ayton (born 9 April 1980 in Ashford, Surrey) is an English former professional sailor. She won a gold medal in the Yngling sailing class in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, together with Shirley Robertson and Sarah Webb, and another gold medal in the Yngling sailing class in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, together with Pippa Wilson and Sarah Webb.
