Aylesbury is a housing development in Tallaght, Ireland. Aylesbury was built in the 1970s in the area historically known as Old Bawn and although Old Bawn still exists Aylesbury is now the larger settlement. Oldbawn (or Old Bawn, ) is a small suburban area now within Tallaght on Dublin's southside. Formerly a small village in its own right, it is situated between Sean Walsh Park and the River Dodder. A bawn is the defensive wall surrounding an Irish tower house. Martin De Porres
Martín de Porres Velázquez (9 December 1579 – 3 November 1639) was a Peruvian lay brother of the Dominican Order who was beatified in 1837 by Pope Gregory XVI and canonized in 1962 by Pope John XXIII. He is the patron saint of mixed-race people, barbers, innkeepers, public health workers, and all those seeking racial harmony.
