Ayano Sato (born 29 December 1996) is a Japan Canoe slalom, slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2015. She represented the host country in the Canoeing at the 2020 Summer Olympics – Women's slalom C-1, C1 event at the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, where she finished in 20th position after being eliminated in the heats. The 2016 Asian Canoe Slalom Championships was the 9th edition of the Asian Canoe Slalom Championships. The event took place from 23 to 24 April 2016 in Toyama, Japan. Canoeing At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Women's Slalom C-1
The women's C-1 slalom canoeing event at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place on 28 and 29 July 2021 at the Kasai Canoe Slalom Course. 22 canoeists from 22 nations competed. The event was won by Jessica Fox from Australia, who already had three medals (one silver and two bronzes) in K-1 slalom from the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Olympics. Briton Mallory Franklin won silver, and German Andrea Herzog bronze. For both of them it was the first Olympic medal. Background This was the debut appearance of the event, replacing the men's C-2.
