Axel Edelstam
Ernst Axel Edelstam (21 July 1924 – 17 August 2012) was a Swedish diplomat. He served in the foreign service for almost 40 years, including as ambassador to a number of different countries. Early life Edelstam was born on 21 July 1924 in Stockholm, Sweden, the son of the permanent undersecretary and chamberlain Fabian Edelstam and Hilma (née Dickinson). He was the brother of diplomat Harald Edelstam. He passed '' studentexamen'' in 1944 and received a Candidate of Law degree in 1949 before becoming an attaché at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs the same year. Career Edelstam served in New York City in 1950, in Washington, D.C. in 1951 and at the Foreign Ministry in 1953. He was acting second secretary in 1957 (temporary in 1955) and acting first legation secretary at the delegation of the Organisation for European Economic Co-operation (OEEC) in Paris from 1959 to 1961. Olov Arthur Ternström (1 February 1927 – 14 July 2001) was a Swedish diplomat. Early life Ternström was born on 1 February 1927 in Lund, Sweden, the son of accountant Arthur Ternström and Astrid (née Andersson). He gained a degree in economics at the Stockholm School of Economics in 1949 and received the title of ''civilekonom''. Career Ternström worked in the Swedish General Export Association (''Sveriges allmänna exportförening'') from 1948 to 1957 before becoming an attaché at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1957. Lars Petrus Folke von Celsing (1 April 1916 – 17 August 2009) was a Swedish diplomat. Career von Celsing was born in Stockholm, Sweden, the son of Folke von Celsing, a bank executive, and his wife Margareta (née Norström) and brother of the architect Peter Celsing and the doctor Fredrik Celsing. He passed '' studentexamen'' on 8 May 1934 and received a Candidate of Law degree from Stockholm University College on 27 May 1942. von Celsing did university studies in Paris and Berlin before becoming an attaché at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1942. Borlänge
Borlänge is a locality in Dalarna County, Sweden with 44,898 inhabitants as of 2020. It is the seat of the Borlänge Municipality with a total population of 51,604 inhabitants as of 2017. History Originally Borlänge was the name of a tiny village, and the first historical information about it is from 1390. The village was insignificant up until about 1870.
