The Awdiinle Massacre was a massacre of over thirty Somali civilians carried out by Ethiopian soldiers in Somalia as part of the African Union Mission to Somalia on Sunday July 17, 2016. Bay, Somalia
Bay ( so, Baay, ar, باي, it, Bai) is an administrative region (''Regions of Somalia, gobol'') in southern Somalia. Overview It is bordered by the Somali regions of Bakool, Hiran, Somalia, Hiran, Lower Shebelle (Shabeellaha Hoose), Middle Juba (Jubbada Dhexe), and Gedo. Baidoa used to be the capital of the old Upper Jubaland, Juba region, which today also includes Gedo and Bakool, as well as most parts of the Middle Juba region. Present regions were created in the 1970s by the then ruling military regime. The capital of Bay is Baidoa. Despite the name Bay, it is landlocked and nowhere near the Indian Ocean shores. Luuq ( so, Luuq, ar, لوق) is a town in the southwestern Gedo province of Somalia. It is one of the older settlements in the area. It is the seat of the Luuq District. The town is located in a bend of the Juba River, where the watercourse flows down from north to south in a horseshoe shape. Luuq is also known as Luuq Gan naane. Gedo
Gedo ( so, Gedo, Maay: ''Gethy'', ar, جيذو, it, Ghedo or ''Ghedu'') is an administrative region ('' gobol'') in Jubaland, southern Somalia. Its regional capital is Garbahaarreey.
