Avni Sali
Avni Sali, (born 19 October 1940) is an Australian professor, surgeon, and academic primarily known for advocating an integrative approach to medicine, combining evidence-based complementary therapies with conventional medicine. Medical career Medical training Sali graduated as a medical doctor at Monash University in Melbourne with an MBBS, and was "the first person of Albanian heritage in Australia to attend university", and one of Monash University's first cohort of medical students. He further pursued a PhD at Monash University, graduating in 1977. Surgical career After graduating from Monash University, Sali worked in Scotland, with Sir Andrew Kay, the Regius Professor of Surgery at Glasgow University. After returning to Australia from Scotland in 1977, Sali was appointed as an associate professor at the University of Melbourne. Shepparton () ( Yortayorta: ''Kanny-goopna'') is a city located on the floodplain of the Goulburn River in northern Victoria, Australia, approximately north-northeast of Melbourne. It began as a sheep station and river crossing in the mid-19th century, before undergoing a major transformation as a railway town. Jana Bohumila Wendt ( ; born 9 May 1956) is an Australian Gold Logie award-winning television journalist, reporter and writer. Early life Wendt was born in Melbourne to Czech parents who emigrated to Australia in 1949. Wendt attended Presentation College, Windsor before graduating at the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Arts (French, Honours) in 1979. Voskopojë
Moscopole or Voskopoja ( sq, Voskopojë; rup, Moscopole, with several other variants; el, Μοσχόπολις, Moschopolis) is a village in Korçë County in southeastern Albania. During the 18th century, it was the cultural and commercial center of the Aromanians. At its peak, in the mid 18th century, it hosted the first printing house in the Ottoman Balkans outside Constantinople, educational institutions and numerous churches.
