Avelino Chaves Couto (26 January 1931 – 10 January 2021) was a Spanish professional footballer who played as a forward. Career Born in Verín, Chaves played for Valladolid, Granada and Zaragoza. He was the top scorer in the Segunda División The Campeonato Nacional de Liga de Segunda División, commercially known as LaLiga SmartBank for sponsorship reasons, is the men's second professional association football division of the Spanish football league system. Verín
Verín is a town and municipality in the southeast of the province of Ourense, autonomous community of Galicia, Spain. The population of the municipality is about 14,433. It is located 70 kilometers east of the provincial capital of Ourense and 15 kilometers north of the Portuguese city of Chaves. The Tâmega River flows through the town.
