Avanim
''Avanim'' is Raphael Nadjari's fourth feature film. It was shot in and around Tel Aviv in 2003, in HDCam. The film was presented in the Berlin Film Festival as a Panorama: Special presentation in 2004. Plot Michale is a woman in her mid-30s, married with a young son and working in her father's Tel Aviv accounting firm serving religious institutions. She divides her time between her child, her husband, her work and the man with whom she is having an affair. When Michale learns of the sudden death of her lover, her life is shattered. Nathaniel Méchaly
Nathaniel Méchaly (born 1972) is a French musician and film composer. His composing credits include '' Avanim'' (2004), ''Revolver'' (2005), ''Colombiana'' (2011), '' The Grandmaster'' (2013), and the ''Taken'' trilogy (2008–2014). Early life Méchaly was born in 1972. He studied music at the Conservatoire National de Région de Musique de Marseille. Career Méchaly began his career as a composer for television shows and commercials for French media conglomerates. He served as an assistant to French-Lebanese composer Gabriel Yared. He wrote his first score for French-Israeli writer and director Raphaël Nadjari's 2004 film '' Avanim''. He went on to score two more Israeli feature films: ''Ushpizin'' (2004), and ''Tehilim'' (2007) which was also directed by Nadjari. Osnat "Asi" Levi ( he, אסי לוי; born September 28, 1969) is an Israeli Film Academy Award winning actress. Career Levi attended and graduated the Yoram Levinstein School of Acting in southern Tel Aviv. Levi's early appearances include films such as '' HaShiva'' (1995), '' Kesher Ir'' (Urban Feel; 1998) and '' HaBoleshet Hokeret'' (The Investigation Must Go On; 2000), alongside Moshe Ivgy.
