Autopista AP-2
The Autopista AP-2 also known as the Autopista del Nordeste (North-East motorway), is a highway (Highways in Spain, autopista) in the north of Spain that connects the northern coast with the eastern coast of the country. It starts at the city of Zaragoza, passes Lleida and ends at El Vendrell, 70 kilometers west of Barcelona, where it connects with Autopista AP-7, AP-7. It was a toll road, and forms part of the European route E90. Route It is a major motorway in Spain because it is between Barcelona and Madrid. The free state-owned Autovía A-2, A-2 autovía is available between Madrid and Zaragoza, and between Lleida and Barcelona, but from Zaragoza to Lleida the traffic needs to either transfer to AP-2 or continue to Zaragoza through the standard highway Carretera Nacional N-II, N-II. Carretera Nacional N-II
N-II was the former name for the Route Nacional from Madrid to Barcelona and France. According to the new Spanish roads nomenclature, the sections which have been already enhanced and upgraded to ''autovía'' have been recently renamed to A-2, whereas the sections still not upgraded (Zaragoza-Fraga and Barcelona- French border sections) keep the old name N-II. At the French border, near La Jonquera, the route links to the French N9. Most of the traffic formerly carried by the road now takes the A-7 and A-2 ''autovía''. The road is still in the process of being fully dualled but already by-passes the major towns of Girona and Figueres. Fraga (; ) is the major town of the ''comarca'' of Bajo Cinca ( ca, Baix Cinca) in the province of Huesca, Aragon, Spain. It is located by the river Cinca. According to the 2014 census, Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE) the municipality has a population of 14,926 inhabitants.
