The Australia men's national cricket team represents Australia in men's international cricket. Alan Davidson (cricketer, Born 1929)
Alan Keith Davidson (14 June 1929 – 30 October 2021) was an Australian cricketer of the 1950s and 1960s. He was an all rounder: a hard-hitting lower-order left-handed batsman, and an outstanding left-arm fast-medium opening bowler. Strongly built and standing six feet tall, Davidson was known for his hard hitting power, which yielded many long hit sixes. His left arm bowling was a mainstay of the Australian pace attack of the 1950s and early 1960s, and from the late 1950s he was widely regarded as one of the finest pace bowlers in the world. Davidson's classical bowling action imparted late swing, allowing him to move the ball to deceive batsmen and he bowled with great control, conceding fewer than two runs per over across his career. Idrees Baig
Mirza Idrees Baig (1911 – 30 July 1986) (also spelled Idris, Beg and Begh) was a Pakistani cricket umpire. He stood in nine Test matches between 1955 and 1969. Playing career Idrees Baig played seven first-class matches for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy between 1936 and 1946. (Delhi played only 11 matches in this period.) A middle-order batsman and fast-medium bowler, he scored one century, 106 in the victory over Gwalior in 1943–44, reaching his century in 155 minutes with 18 fours. His best bowling figures were 4 for 29 and 5 for 27 against United Provinces in 1936–37, but they were not enough to prevent a three-wicket loss in a low-scoring match. Daud Khan (cricketer)
Daud Khan (1912–1979) was a cricket player and umpire. He played for the Sindh cricket team before and after Pakistan's independence from India. He later became a Test umpire. Playing career Daud played 20 first-class matches as a middle-order batsman for Sind between 1936 and 1947. His highest score was 74 not out against Bombay in the Ranji Trophy in 1938-39. Umpiring career Khan stood as an umpire in 136 first-class matches in Pakistan between 1948 and 1976, most of them in Karachi, including nine finals of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. Between 1955 and 1973, he officiated in 14 Tests. Along with Idrees Baig he stood in the first Test ever played in Pakistan, the First Test against India in Dacca beginning on New Year's Day 1955. The National Stadium (Urdu: نیشنل سٹیڈیم), also referred to as National Bank Cricket Arena for sponsorship reasons, is a cricket stadium in Karachi, Pakistan, owned by the Pakistan Cricket Board. It is the home ground of Karachi Kings and Karachi's many other domestic cricket teams. It is the largest cricket stadium in Pakistan with a capacity of 34,228 spectators. In cricket, a batter is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batter is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Occurrence At least one batter is not out at the end of every innings, because once ten batters are out, the eleventh has no partner to bat on with so the innings ends. Usually two batters finish not out if the batting side declares in first-class cricket, and often at the end of the scheduled number of overs in limited overs cricket. Batters further down the batting order than the not out batters do not come out to the crease at all and are noted as ''did not bat'' rather than ''not out''; by contrast, a batter who comes to the crease but faces no balls is ''not out''. Alimuddin (cricketer)
Alim-ud-Din (Urdu: علیم الدین; 15 December 1930 – 12 July 2012) was a Pakistani cricketer who played 25 Tests for Pakistan between 1954 and 1962. His name is sometimes rendered Alimuddin. A fast-scoring, right-handed opening batsman and occasional right-arm leg break bowler, he was the youngest player ever to appear in first-class cricket, aged 12 years and 73 days. In international cricket, he scored 1,091 runs at the average of 25.37, including two centuries and seven fifties. In 1954, he was a member of the Pakistani squad which toured England and recorded Pakistan's first Test match win. Former Pakistani captain Mushtaq Mohammad said about him that he was "a thorough gentleman as well as a great cricketer for Pakistan".
