Australian Council Of Social Service
The Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS) is an Australian organisation that advocates for action to reduce poverty and inequality, and is the peak body for the community services sector in Australia. It was formed in 1956. ACOSS is active in areas of social policy, including community sector policy, climate and energy, economics and tax, income support and employment, health, housing and homelessness, and poverty and inequality. Cassandra Goldie became CEO of ACOSS in July 10, who was previously the Director of the Sex Discrimination Unit at the Australian Human Rights Commission (HREOC). The ACOSS CEO is often interviewed by Australian media for comment and analysis on social matters and policies of the Australian Government. Strawberry Hills is an official Urban Place in Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Strawberry Hills is located east of Central railway station, within the suburbs of Surry Hills and Redfern which are part of the local government area of the City of Sydney. The origin of the name is unknown. Andrew McCallum
Andrew McCallum is a professor in the computer science department at University of Massachusetts Amherst. His primary specialties are in machine learning, natural language processing, information extraction, information integration, and social network analysis. Career McCallum graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1989. He completed his Ph.D. at University of Rochester in 1995 under the supervision of Dana H. Ballard. He was then a postdoctoral fellow, working with Sebastian Thrun and Tom M. Mitchell at Carnegie Mellon University.
