Aureliano Maestre De San Juan
Aureliano Maestre de San Juan ( October 17, 1828 - June 1, 1890) was a Spanish scientist, histologist, physician and anatomist. He is credited as being one of the first scientists to recognize the disorder known as Kallmann syndrome. He died in 1890, having been blinded in a laboratory accident involving caustic soda two years earlier. Carlos Castañeda (December 25, 1925 – April 27, 1998) was an American writer. Starting with '' The Teachings of Don Juan'' in 1968, Castaneda wrote a series of books that purport to describe training in shamanism that he received under the tutelage of a Yaqui "Man of Knowledge" named don Juan Matus. Castaneda's first three books—'' The Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge'', '' A Separate Reality'', and ''Journey to Ixtlan''—were written while he was an anthropology student at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He wrote that these books were ethnographic accounts describing his apprenticeship with a traditional "Man of Knowledge" identified as ''don Juan Matus'', a Yaqui Indian from northern Mexico. Aureliano Urrutia, Sr. (6 June 1872 – 14 August 1975) was a Mexican-born physician. He served as the Minister of Interior under Victoriano Huerta in Mexico but subsequently spent most of his life and career in the United States. Biography Urrutia was born in Xochimilco, Federal District, Mexico, on June 6, 1872, the son of Pedro Urrutia and Refugio Sandoval, of indigenous descent. He studied in Xochimilco and Mexico City. Urrutia earned a degree in medicine from the National School of Medicine in 1890 and was considered the best student of his generation. In 1893 he served as a military doctor in the territory of Quintana Roo. Later he became a member of the 3rd battalion stationed in Chilpancingo; there he met General Victoriano Huerta, who many years later, in June 1913, appointed Urrutia to the position of Minister of the Interior. Aureliano Torres Román (born 16 June 1982) is a Paraguayan former footballer who last played for 12 de Octubre in the Paraguayan División Intermedia. At club level, Torres achieved the 2002 Emperor's Cup in Japan, the Torneo Clausura of the 2006–07 Argentine Primera División and the 2012–13 Uruguayan Primera División of Uruguay, and with Paraguay he achieved the silver medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics Men's tournament and runners-up of the 2011 Copa América. Aureliano Sánchez Arango (7 June 1907 – 23 April 1976) was a Cuban lawyer, politician and university professor. Sanchez served in the government of President Carlos Prio Socarras first as Minister of Education (1948–1951) and then as Foreign Minister (1951–1952). In August 1951, Eduardo Chibas accused Sanchez of stealing children's breakfast funds to build a housing project in Guatemala. When Chibas could not prove his accusations, he committed suicide on live radio. After Fulgencio Batista overthrew Prio, Sanchez was involved in various undergrown movements to overthrow Batista. Aureliano Pertile (9 November 1885 – 11 January 1952) was an Italian lyric tenor. Many critics consider him one of the most exciting operatic artists of the inter-war period, and one of the most important tenors of the 20th century. Life and career Pertile was born in Montagnana, Northern Italy, 18 days after the birth of another celebrated tenor, Giovanni Martinelli, in the same town. He studied with Giacomo Orefice in Padua, and Gaetano Bavagnoli in Milan, before making his operatic debut as Lyonel in ''Martha'', in 1911, in Vicenza. After singing in regional Italy and South America, Pertile first sang at the premier Italian opera house, La Scala, Milan, in 1916. Aureliano Milani (1675–1749) was an Italian painter of the late-Baroque period, active in Bologna and Rome. He was a pupil of Cesare Gennari and Lorenzo Pasinelli in Bologna, although he also adhered to a style derived from the Carracci. He took up his residence in Rome, being ill able to support a family of ten children at Bologna. He painted a ''Beheaded St. John the Baptist'' for the church of the Bergamaschi in Rome. In Rome, he abounded with commissions, and was promoted with Domenico Maria Muratori and Donato Creti. Aureliano Lessa
Aureliano José Lessa (1828–1861) was a Brazilian poet, adept of the "Ultra-Romanticism" movement. Born in Minas Gerais in 1828, he moved to São Paulo in 1847 to study Law, but received his bacharel degree at the Faculdade de Direito de Olinda, in Pernambuco, in 1851. He worked as attorney general in the city of Ouro Preto, and also as a lawyer in the cities of Diamantina and Serro. During his stay at São Paulo he met the authors Álvares de Azevedo and Bernardo Guimarães. With them, he planned a volume of poetry called ''As Três Liras'' (in en, The Three Lyres), that ended unsuccessful. Along with those and others, he was a member of a club named "Sociedade Epicureia" ("Epicurean Society"). Aureliano only wrote some texts to newspapers of São Paulo and Minas Gerais during his lifetime.
