Au5
Austin Collins (born September 18, 1992), better known as Au5 ( ), is an American electronic musician from New Jersey. Au5's music encompasses a range of electronic genres such as dubstep, house, trance, drum and bass, drumstep and ambient, and he is known for fusing the characteristics of trance and dubstep in his music. Au5 is best known for his releases on Canadian label Monstercat, some of which have received millions of views on YouTube. Au5's label releases began in 2012, and after winning a Seven Lions remix contest in January 2013, he joined Monstercat. Au5 had several successful releases on the label, such as "Halcyon", with American producer Fractal, "Snowblind", featuring Tasha Baxter, and "Crossroad", featuring Danyka Nadeau. Monstercat
Monstercat (formerly known as Monstercat Media) is a Canadian independent electronic music record label based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Founded in 2011 by Mike Darlington and Ari Paunonen, the label released music on a tri-weekly basis until 2018, when this was changed to four releases a week. This would later be changed to six releases a week in 2021. Beginning with the release of its first compilation album, ''Monstercat 001 – Launch Week'', the label releases regular compilation albums featuring music from various artists. Until the release of ''Monstercat 030 – Finale'' in 2017, each compilation was given a name and depicted the story of the aforementioned mascot in the album cover. ''Days to Come'' is the second extended play (EP) by American DJ and record producer Seven Lions. Released on October 16, 2012, via Owsla, it consists of four songs. The EP charted on multiple Billboard charts such as Dance/Electronic Albums and Heatseekers Albums. Background The EP was described as "representing the blossoming talent of a precocious producer who is finally starting to receive the attention he deserves." Speaking about the EP's creative process, Seven Lions said "It's pretty much the same process with every song. I write very linear, start with the intro/theme and then work through it from there. Magik Muzik is a sub-label of Dutch label Black Hole Recordings that was founded by Tiësto in 2001. History In 1997 with the help of Arny Bink, co-founder of Black Hole Recordings, Tiësto was able to compile various styles of electronic music like trance, techno and house. Jeff Abel (born 29 April 1986), better known by his stage name Excision, is a Canadian producer and disc jockey. He is the founder of Rottun Recordings and Subsidia Records.
