''At Home with You'' is the second studio album from Australian rock band X. It was produced by Lobby Loyde; whereas the band's first album was reputedly recorded in five hours, the second was completed in five days. Details Between this and its first album X-Aspirations the group had broken up; mainstays Steve Lucas and Ian Rilen had played with Harold Holt and the Sharks and The Feel, and Sardine v respectively. Lucas and Rilen and Steve Cafiero regrouped as X in late 1984. X was managed by Sydney-based manager Nick Chance of Chance Management between 1984 and 1986 after he was approached by Ian Rilen to do so, and agreed. Steve Cafiero played his last show with X at the North Sydney Leagues Club on 2 December 1984. X was on a tour and heading to Melbourne, 2 days after the last show it transpired for Cafiero when he broke the news. X is an Australian punk rock band, formed in Sydney, New South Wales in 1977 founded by Ian Rilen, Steve Lucas, Ian Krahe and Steve Cafiero. The group was formed simultaneously to, and with no knowledge of, the Los Angeles group of the same name. History Early years Ian Rilen had been a founder member of the hard rock group Rose Tattoo; on leaving that band he formed X with Steve Lucas as vocalist, Ian Krahe on guitar and Steve Cafiero on drums in 1977. Krahe was renowned for playing so frenetically without a pick that his hands would bleed. Krahe died of an overdose on 20th May 1978, shortly before the group recorded its first album, '' X-Aspirations''. Lobby Loyde
Lobby Loyde (born John Baslington Lyde, 18 May 1941 – 21 April 2007), also known as John Barrie Lyde or Barry Lyde, was an Australian rock music guitarist, songwriter and producer. He was a member of two 1960s groups: Purple Hearts, which had a Top 40 hit with "Early in the Morning" in 1966, and Wild Cherries with their hit "That's Life" in 1967. He became a leading figure in the 1970s Australian pub rock scene, particularly as a member of Billy Thorpe & the Aztecs on their No. 8 album, ''The Hoax Is Over'' (1971) and Coloured Balls for a Top 20 album ''Ball Power'' (1973). He was briefly a member of Rose Tattoo during 1979 to 1980. ''X-Aspirations'', sometimes simply called ''Aspirations'', is the debut studio album from Australian rock band X. It was recorded in a single afternoon in 1979 at Trafalgar Studios in the band's hometown of Sydney and released the following year on the band's own label. After the album's release, the X's original lineup fell apart. In October 2010, ''X-Aspirations'' was listed in the book ''100 Best Australian Albums''. ''And More'' is the third and final studio album from Australian rock band, X. The album was released on the Mushroom Records alternative subsidiary White Label. The album contains re-recordings of the band's early songs "Home Is Where the Floor Is" and "I Don't Wanna Go Out" with a new studio recording of the live favourite "El Salvador". At the time, Mushroom Records did little to promote the album and it is rumoured that the band trashed the offices of Mushroom Records because of lack of support for the band. The band was later dropped from the label and as of 2010, the album is currently unavailable in any format. Ian Rilen
Ian William Rilen (12 August 194730 October 2006) was an Australian musician. He was bass guitarist and songwriter with Rock N' Roll band Rose Tattoo, and led punk rock group X while also providing lead guitar, rhythm guitar and vocals. Rilen was born in Bendigo, Victoria, started his musical career in Sydney and later lived in Melbourne. Rilen was a member of 1970s progressive blues group Band of Light and other bands, including Space, Blue Aliens, Blackfeather, Sardine v, Hell to Pay, Skindiver and Illustrated Men. Rilen wrote one of Rose Tattoo's biggest hits, " Bad Boy for Love", and co-wrote "Stuck on You" with his first wife Stephanie Falconer, which was covered by Hunters & Collectors. Rilen was diagnosed with bladder cancer early in 2006 and died on 30 October, aged 59. He had five children: Alicia Ann Macfarlane, Jay Jay, Gentilla, Tallulah and Romeo. "Sardine" and "pilchard" are common names for various species of small, oily forage fish in the herring family Clupeidae. The term "sardine" was first used in English during the early 15th century, a folk etymology says it comes from the Italian island of Sardinia, around which sardines were once supposedly abundant. Hunters And Collectors
Hunters & Collectors are an Australian rock band formed in 1981. Fronted by founding mainstay, singer-songwriter and guitarist Mark Seymour, they developed a blend of pub rock and art-funk. Other mainstays are John Archer on bass guitar, Doug Falconer on drums and percussion. Soon after forming they were joined by Jack Howard on trumpet and keyboards, Jeremy Smith on French horn, guitars and keyboards, and Michael Waters on trombone and keyboards. Also acknowledged as a founder was engineer and art designer Robert Miles. Joining in 1988, Barry Palmer, on lead guitar, remained until they disbanded in 1998. The group reformed in 2013 with the 1998 line-up. ''Human Frailty'' is the fourth studio album by Australian rock band Hunters & Collectors, which was released on 7 April 1986. It was a commercial and critical success. The album peaked at No. 10 on the Australian Kent Music Report Albums Chart and No. 5 on the New Zealand Albums Chart.
