Generval Martiniano Moreira Leite, better known as Astro de Ogum (born October 16, 1957) is a Brazilian politician. He is an alderman of São Luís and president of Municipal Chamber. Political career In 1992, Astro de Ogum competed to alderman of São Luís, without success. In 2000, Astro de Ogum was elected alderman of São Luís. Alderman
An alderman is a member of a Municipal government, municipal assembly or council in many Jurisdiction, jurisdictions founded upon English law. The term may be titular, denoting a high-ranking member of a borough or county council, a council member chosen by the elected members themselves rather than by Direct election, popular vote, or a council member elected by voters. Edison Lobão Filho
Edison Lobão Filho (born September 17, 1964) is a Brazilian politician and businessman. He represented Maranhão in the Federal Senate from 2011 to 2015. He is a member of the PMDB. Graduated in Civil Engineering from the University of Brasilia and Economics from UniCEUB, he is the son and first substitute of Senator Edison Lobão and Federal Representative Nice Lobão. He assumed the vacancy in the Federal Senate temporarily from January 30, 2008, after his father was licensed to take over the Ministry of Mines and Energy. With the return of Lobão to the Ministry in 2011, Lobão Filho reassumes the mandate. ''Avante!'' (''Onwards!'') is the official newspaper of the Portuguese Communist Party (PCP). Founded in 1931, it continues to be published to this day. The newspaper's motto is ''Workers of the World, Unite!'' and has been present in every edition of the newspaper since the very first. Its headquarters is in Lisbon. The newspaper started to be an irregular publication due to the constant repression against the Portuguese Communist Party led by the authorities, who consistently assaulted the clandestine printing offices. After a major regorganization in 1940, the Party was able to make Avante! a better distributed newspaper among the working class, reporting events such as World War II or the Colonial War without censorship. After the Carnation Revolution, Avante! had a major role among the working class, supporting the revolutionary changes.
