Astrid Holm
Astrid Holm (born Astrid Vilhelmine Rasmussen; 29 March 1893 – 29 October 1961) was a Danish theater and film actress whose career began on the stage and in the early silent film era. Early life and stage career Born Astrid Vilhelmine Rasmussen in Sønder Bjerge Sogn, Sorø Municipality, Zealand, she was the daughter of hotelier Hans Peter Rasmussen and his wife Maren Sofie Rasmussen (''née'' Larsen). She studied at the Royal Danish Ballet, but left in 1910 to pursue a career as a stage actress. During the World War I years, she performed at Det Ny Teater in the capital city of Copenhagen. During the early 1920s, she was engaged at the Royal Danish Theatre for four seasons by request of theater director Johannes Poulsen. Sorø Municipality is a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Region Sjælland on the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in east Denmark. Svend Kornbeck
Svend Kornbeck (3 July 1869 – 30 October 1933) was a Danish stage and film actor. Early life and career Kornbeck was born in Copenhagen, the son of painter Johan Peter Kornbeck (1837–1894) and his wife Anna Nathalie Kornbeck (''née'' Trolle) (1849–1930). He was employed in various Copenhagen and provincial theaters; the Dagmar Theatre, Det Ny Teater and the Odense Teater. In 1912 he debuted as a film actor and then starred in some 30 films, all but one were with the Nordisk Film company. One of Kornbeck's more memorable film roles is that of Christian Berg in the 1924 Swedish silent film '' The Saga of Gosta Berling'', directed by Mauritz Stiller. Personal life Kornbeck was first married to Asta Johanne Fernanda Jørgensen (1872–1904) and then to actress Ellen Kornbeck (''née'' Pedersen). ''The Phantom Carriage'' ( sv, Körkarlen, literally "The Wagoner") is a 1921 Swedish silent film directed by and starring Victor Sjöström, based on the 1912 novel '' Thy Soul Shall Bear Witness!'' (''Körkarlen'') by Swedish author Selma Lagerlöf. Hans Egede Budtz (8 August 1889 – 29 June 1968) was a Danish people, Danish stage and film actor. Early life and education Born in Slagelse, Zealand, he was the son of Carl Budtz and Alvida Marie Budtz (''née'' Svendsen). He studied at the Sorø Academy and then at the Royal Danish Theatre from 1913 to 1915 under Thorkild Roose. He made his debut at the Royal Theatre on 15 May 1915 as Klint in a production of Christian Hostrup's comedy ''Genboerne''. Liva Weel
Olivia Marie Olsen (31 December 1897 – 22 May 1952), nicknamed Liva Weel, was a Danish singer, comedian, and actress. Although she was trained in classical singing, her signature songs and performances were ballads. Upbringing Weel grew up in Vesterbro, Copenhagen, where she lived with her parents (detective Carlo Martin Ingomar Olsen and wife Marie Christine Dorthea Olivia Josephine Olsen) at the Mysundegade apartment on Istedgade street. At the age of 17, she began to train her voice with opera singer and music educator Hedevig Quiding (16 September 1867 - 22 October 1936). She also received singing training from Vilhelm Herold. Johannes Meyer (28 May 1884 – 4 November 1972), was a Danish film actor. He made his stage debut at the Dagmarteatret in Copenhagen in 1905 and went on to appear in more than 100 movies, making his first film playing the role of Erneste des Tressailles in Viggo Larsen's 'Revolutionsbryllup' at the Nordist Film Co in 1909. He was mostly seen in character or supporting roles in many talkies from 1933 until his last film appearance playing the role of Bilvis in Gabriel Axel's 'Hagbard and Signe' in 1967. He was also active on radio and in T.V. dramas and was stage director of the Fonixteatret and Norrebros Theatre before he was hired by the Royal Theatre in 1941. Died in Denmark in 1972, age 88.
