Asso ( Valassinese lmo, Ass) is an Italian ''comune'' in the province of Como, in Lombardy, Italy. It has 3,524 citizens and an area of , with a density of 546 people per square kilometer (1,400 per sq mi). The Lambro ( lmo, Lamber or ''Lambar'' ) is a river of Lombardy, northern Italy, a left tributary of the Po. The Lambro rises from the Monte San Primo, elevation , near the Ghisallo, in the province of Como, not far from Lake Como. After Magreglio it flows through the Valassina and the ''comuni'' of Asso, Ponte Lambro and Erba, entering Lake Pusiano with the name of ''Lambrone''.
