Ashmit Shreshta
Ashmit Shrestha (born 3 March 1996) is a Nepalese cricketer who plays for the Nigeria national cricket team. He is a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper. Shrestha grew up in Bhairahawa Siddharthanagar ( ne, सिद्धार्थनगर), formerly and colloquially still called Bhairahawa ( ne, भैरहवा), is a municipality and the administrative headquarter of Rupandehi District in Lumbini Province of Nepal, ..., Nepal. He moved to Nigeria in 2015 to work for a steel company, where he joined the Rising Stars Cricket Club in Lagos. Shrestha made his Twenty20 International debut against Sierra Leone in October 2021. He played for Nigeria in the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier Regional Final. 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier
The 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier was a cricket tournament that was played as part of qualification process for the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, during October and November 2021. The wicket-keeper in the sport of cricket is the player on the fielding side who stands behind the wicket or stumps being watchful of the batsman and ready to take a catch, stump the batsman out and run out a batsman when occasion arises. A Twenty20 International (T20I) is a form of cricket, played between two of the international members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), in which each team faces a maximum of twenty overs.
