Ashley HomeStore Curling Classic
The Nufloors Penticton Curling Classic is an annual bonspiel on the men's tour. It is held annually in November at the Penticton Curling Club in Penticton, British Columbia. It has been held since 2017. From 2017–2020, the event was sponsored by Ashley HomeStore Ashley (formerly known as Ashley HomeStore and still known as Ashley Furniture HomeStore in some countries) is an American furniture store chain that sells Ashley Furniture products. Opened in 1997, the chain comprises over 2000 locations worldwi ..., a U.S. based furniture retailer. Starting in 2021, the tournament will be sponsored by Nufloors Penticton, a Canadian flooring service. With a purse of $100,000, it has one of the highest purses on the tour and attracts some of the top curling teams in the world. Thomas Muirhead (curler)
Thomas Brandon Muirhead (born 11 April 1995) is a retired Scottish curler from Blair Atholl. He was the longtime third for the Kyle Smith rink. During his career, he competed for Great Britain at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, placing fifth. He also played for Scotland at two European Curling Championships, two Winter Universiade and three World Junior Curling Championships, winning the event in . Colin Hodgson
Colin Sterling-Wyatt Hodgson (born June 8, 1990) is a Canadian curler originally from Lacombe, Alberta. He is the former lead for Team Mike McEwen and currently plays mixed doubles with Chelsea Carey. Career While briefly living in Calgary, Hodgson's junior years saw him skip the Alberta team at the 2011 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, finishing in sixth place with a 6–6 win–loss record. He also won a gold medal at the 2007 Canada Winter Games. Hodgson later moved to Airdrie, Alberta and played third for Charley Thomas for a year. Following that season, he moved to Winnipeg and joined Reid Carruthers as the lead on his new team in 2014. The team represented Manitoba at the 2015 Tim Hortons Brier, finishing in 10th place. Derek Samagalski (born September 9, 1984) is a Canadian curler who currently resides in Carberry, Manitoba. Reid Carruthers
Reid Carruthers (born December 30, 1984) is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Carruthers was the 2011 world champion—winning gold as a second on Jeff Stoughton's team—as well as a six-time provincial champion, the 2003 junior provincial champion, and the 2008 Manitoba provincial mixed champion. Carruthers currently skips a Winnipeg-based rink on the World Curling Tour. He also coaches the Kerri Einarson women's team. Mike McEwen (curler)
Michael McEwen (born July 30, 1980 in Brandon, Manitoba) is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba, who grew up in Brandon, Manitoba. McEwen won six Grand Slams in his career before his team qualified for their first Brier, Canada's national championship in 2016. He is noted as one of the top curlers using the Manitoba tuck delivery today. Career Early career In 1998, McEwen won his first of two Manitoba Junior championships, sending him and his team of David Chalmers, Bryce Granger and Kevin Schmidt to the 1998 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. There, he led his Manitoba rink to 9-3 round robin record, in 2nd place. This put the team in a semifinal match up against Ontario's John Morris. Karrick Martin (born May 24, 1989 in Edmonton, Alberta) is a Canadian curler. He currently plays lead on Team Kevin Koe. He is the son of 2010 Olympic champion skip Kevin Martin. Career Juniors Despite being the son of one of curling's greatest players, Martin only began curling at age 19, after playing hockey in high school for the Beaumont Chiefs. He joined the University of Alberta curling team and played in the 2008 CIS/CCA Curling Championships, throwing second stones for the team, which was skipped by Brandon Klassen. Bradley Thiessen (born March 1, 1990 in Edmonton, Alberta) is a Canadian curler. He was a long-time member of the Brendan Bottcher rink, throwing second stones for the team until 2022. With Bottcher, he won the 2021 Tim Hortons Brier and represented Canada at the 2021 World Men's Curling Championship. Career Juniors Thiessen was a member of the Bottcher rink at the 2010 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, representing Alberta. There, the team finished with a 6-6 record. Darren Moulding (born December 2, 1982) is a Canadian curler from Lacombe, Alberta and curls out of the Saville Sports Centre and the Lacombe Curling Club. He is a former Canadian Junior Silver Medallist, a Canadian Mixed Champion, and represented Alberta in the 2017, 2018, 2020 and Team Wild Card in the 2019 Brier Canadian men's championship. Career Junior Moulding skipped the Alberta team at both the 2000 and 2003 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. Brendan Michael Bottcher (born December 19, 1991) is a Canadian curler from Sherwood Park, Alberta. Bottcher is a three-time provincial men's champion, and was the skip of the 2021 Canadian men's championship team, having led Alberta to victory at the 2021 Tim Hortons Brier. Born in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Bottcher enjoyed a successful junior career winning the 2012 Canadian Junior Curling Championships and the 2012 World Junior Curling Championships. Michael Goodfellow (curler)
Michael Goodfellow (born 8 October 1988) is a retired Scottish curler. Career As a youth, Goodfellow played in two Winter Universiades, one in 2009 and 2011. He played lead at the 2009 Winter Universiade for the British team, skipped by John Hamilton. They finished 7th. He was the British alternate at the 2011 Winter Universiade, on a team skipped by Glen Muirhead that finished 4th. Despite being the team's alternate, he played in 8 round robin games. On the World Curling Tour, Goodfellow played lead for Jamie Dick for 2008–09 before joining with Muirhead for 2009–10 to play lead for him. He joined the Tom Brewster rink in 2010 and played lead for Brewster, and then for David Murdoch beginning in 2013.
