Ascendal Group
Ascendal Group is a British public transport company that operates Whippet (bus company), Whippet in Cambridgeshire, the Ascendal Punta Arenas in southern Chile, and has a small shareholding in Hong Kong bus companies of Citybus (Hong Kong), Citybus and New World First Bus through Bravo Transport. It was founded in 2018 by former Tower Transit chief executive officer, CEO Adam Leishman until he and Go Whippet split away from Transit Systems to form Ascendal. Leishman is the son of Transit Systems co-founder Graham Leishman and was previously the Business Development Director at Transit Systems. Operations Whippet Whippet (bus company), Whippet, formerly Go Whippet, is a bus operation in Cambridgeshire, England. It was purchased by Transit Systems in November 2014. Transit Systems Group is a subsidiary of the Kelsian Group, formerly SeaLink Travel Group. The Magallanes Region (), officially the Magallanes y la Antártica Chilena Region ( es, Región de Magallanes y de la Antártica Chilena), is one of Chile's 16 first order administrative divisions. Punta Arenas (; historically Sandy Point in English) is the capital city of Chile's southernmost region, Magallanes and Antarctica Chilena. New World First Bus
New World First Bus Services Limited (NWFB) is the third-largest bus operator in Hong Kong. Established by NWS Holdings and FirstGroup in September 1998, it took over 88 China Motor Bus services in Hong Kong Island. Since 2020 it has been a subsidiary of Bravo Transport which also owns Citybus. The NWFB brand will be retired on 30 June 2023 with operations merged into Citybus.
