Asana Journal
''Asana Journal'' is the only international yoga magazine published from India, both in English and Tamil, focusing on modern yoga, naturopathy and wellbeing. Origin Asana is the Sanskrit word for posture or seat. It is one of the eight limbs of Yoga. History and development The monthly ''Asana International Yoga Journal'' was started in 1999 by Asana Andiappan. Andiappan founded the only Yoga college and research centre recognised by Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy, Government of India and Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu and two universities in India: Manonmaniam Sundaranar University and Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University. The magazine is published by Asana Publication which is managed by Asana Andiappan Yoga & Natural Living Development Trust. Yogananth Andiappan
Yogananth Andiappan is an Indian Yoga guru and author. He is the founder and director of ''Anahata Yoga'', Hong Kong.Bhakti Mathur, Early life and education Born in India, Andiappan is the son of Dr. Asana Andiappan, an Indian Yoga guru. He started learning Yoga at age two. Andiappan holds two diplomas in Naturopathy and Science of yoga, Yogic Science from Government of Tamil Nadu and Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, India, respectively. He holds bachelor's degree in Yoga and Naturopathy from Medicina Alternativa, Sri Lanka and Masters in Yoga and Naturopathy from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, India He also holds a Ph.D. in Yoga from Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University, India. Career Andiappan has been a Yoga and Naturopathy guru for years.
