Arthur Lochhead
Arthur William Lochhead (8 December 1897 – 30 December 1966) was a Scottish association football, footballer who played as a forward (association football), centre forward. Having served in the Royal Garrison Artillery during World War I, Lochhead started his career with Heart of Midlothian F.C., Heart of Midlothian, making his debut aged 21 in March 1919 and soon came into consideration for the Scotland national football team, Scottish national team, taking part in the 1920 Home Scots v Anglo-Scots trial match before transferring to Manchester United F.C., Manchester United in a swap deal in 1921, with Hearts exchanging him for £530 and Tom Miller (footballer, born 1890), Tom Miller. Busby, East Renfrewshire
Busby is a village in East Renfrewshire, Scotland. Busby is in the same urban area as Glasgow, although it is administratively separate. It lies on the White Cart Water south of Glasgow City Centre and northwest of the outskirts of East Kilbride. It directly adjoins the town of Clarkston, East Renfrewshire, Clarkston, with which the village is closely associated. History As a settlement, Busby dates back at least 700 years. Historically, the village was called Bushby. Its modern origins may be dated to several significant changes in the 1780s. The first big change was in the landscape. Football League First Division
The Football League First Division was a division of the Football League in England from 1888 until 2004. It was the top division in the English football league system from the season 1888–89 until 1991–92, a century in which the First Division's winning club became English men's football champions. The First Division contained between 12 and 24 clubs, playing each other home and away in a double round robin. The competition was based on two points for a win from 1888 until the increase to three points for a win in 1981.
