Arshad Iqbal
Arshad Iqbal (born 26 December 2000) is a Pakistani cricketer. He made his international debut for the Pakistan cricket team in April 2021. Early life He was born in the village of Maniri Payan in the Swabi District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa into a family with military background, the son of Captain (r) Gul Haidar, and considers Wasim Akram as his cricketing inspiration. Career He made his List A debut for Water and Power Development Authority in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup on 16 October 2018. Prior to his List A debut, he was named in Pakistan's squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his first-class debut for Water and Power Development Authority in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy on 19 October 2018. 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy
The 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was a first-class domestic cricket competition that took place in Pakistan from 1 September to 8 December 2018. Following the conclusion of each match, the teams played each other in a List A fixture in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup tournament. Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited were the defending champions. In April 2018, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) won the Patron's Trophy Grade-II tournament to qualify for this years' edition of the competition. ZTBL won their opening fixture of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, against Lahore Blues, by 151 runs. Prior to the start of the tournament, two players were dropped by their teams. The Pakistan cricket team toured Zimbabwe in April and May 2021 to play two Tests and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The tour of Zimbabwe followed on from Pakistan's tour of South Africa. A Twenty20 International (T20I) is a form of cricket, played between two of the international members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), in which each team faces a maximum of twenty overs. The matches have top-class status and are the highest T20 standard. The game is played under the rules of Twenty20 cricket. Starting from the format's inception in 2005, T20I status only applied to Full Members and some Associate Member teams. However, in April 2018, the ICC announced that it would grant T20I status to all its 105 members from 1 January 2019. 2020–21 Pakistan Cup
The 2020–21 Pakistan Cup was a List A cricket competition that took place in Karachi, Pakistan from 8 January to 31 January 2021. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were the defending champions after they beat Baluchistan. However, after the new domestic structure announced by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), six newly formed regional teams were formed. In December 2020, it was announced that Aaron Summers would play in the tournament, becoming the first Australian cricketer to play in a domestic cricket competition in Pakistan, after signing with Southern Punjab cricket team. Following the conclusion of the group stage, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northern and Central Punjab had all qualified for the semi-finals of the tournament. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cricket team is a domestic cricket team in Pakistan representing the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
