De Höhner ( Kölsch for "The Chickens", , ) is a band from Cologne, Germany. They sing in the local dialect of Cologne, Kölsch. The group was founded in 1972 by Peter Werner and Janus Fröhlich. During their first year, the band wore chicken costumes, and threw real feathers into the audience. They are particularly successful in the area around Cologne, although they are popular nationwide. The band is famous for performing at the Cologne carnival. Their most popular carnival songs are "''Echte Fründe''", "''Pizza wunderbar''", "''Die Karawane zieht weiter''" and "'' Viva Colonia''". Julius Brink (born 6 July 1982 in Münster) is a beach volleyball player from Germany, who won the gold medal in the men's beach team competition at the 2006 European Beach Volleyball Championships in The Hague, Netherlands, partnering Christoph Dieckmann. In 2009 he and his current partner Jonas Reckermann won four FIVB competitions (three consecutive Grand Slams) and the German Masters of the CEV European Championship Tour. Brothers Keepers is a German-based transnational anti-racism project, bringing together hip hop, reggae and soul musicians, headed primarily by Afro-Germans. Their debut single, "Adriano-Letzte Warnung", was written in response to the murder of Alberto Adriano by Neo-Nazis. It remains their most popular release, with more than 6 million views on YouTube. History The idea for the project took root when a German of Mozambiquan origin, named Alberto Adriano, was brutally killed by neo-Nazis in Dessau in 2000. Dietmar Bär (born 5 February 1961, in Dortmund) is a German actor. Since 1997 he has starred as ''Freddy Schenk'' in the popular television crime series ''Tatort'' and in ''Ärzte'' (a TV Series in 1994). The Deutz Suspension Bridge (german: Deutzer Hängebrücke) was a self-anchored suspension bridge using eyebar chains, located across the Rhine at Deutz in Cologne, Germany.
