Arnt Haugen
Arnt Haugen (January 3, 1928 – June 26, 1988) was a Norwegian accordionist and music journalist from Kongsberg, known from over 100 LP releases. Haugen was born in Jondalen in Buskerud county. After studying to be a journalist, he worked for the newspaper ''Fremtiden'' and the music journal ''Rytme'' from 1955 to 1962. Later he edited ''Trekkspill-Nytt'' (Accordion News). Haugen became known as a presenter on NRK NRK, an abbreviation of the Norwegian ''Norsk Rikskringkasting Aksjeselskap, AS'', generally expressed in English as the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, is the Norwegian government-owned radio and television public broadcasting company, and ..., among other things for ''Istedenfor twist – trekkspillet som ungdommens instrument'' (Instead of the Twist: The Accordion as a Youth Instrument, 1964), and especially as an orchestra leader on the program ''Husker du?'' Kongsberg
Kongsberg () is a historical mining town and municipality in Buskerud, Viken county, Norway. The city is located on the river Numedalslågen at the entrance to the valley of Numedal. Kongsberg has been a centre of silver mining, arms production and forestry for centuries, and is the site of high technology industry including the headquarters of Norway's largest defence contractor Kongsberg Gruppen. Buskerud
Buskerud () is a former county and a current electoral district in Norway, bordering Akershus, Oslo, Oppland, Sogn og Fjordane, Hordaland, Telemark and Vestfold. The region extends from the Oslofjord and Drammensfjorden in the southeast to Hardangervidda mountain range in the northwest. The county administration was in modern times located in Drammen. Buskerud was merged with Akershus and Østfold into the newly created Viken County on 1 January 2020. ''Fremtiden'' was a Norwegian newspaper, published in Drammen, Norway, between 1905 and 2000. It was an official publication of Norwegian Labour Party in Buskerud. History and profile ''Fremtiden'' was started in 1905. Its first editor was Torgeir Vraa, who edited the newspaper from its start until his death in 1934. The paper became the main organ for the Norwegian Labour Party in Buskerud. During the 1980s its circulation was around 20,000 copies. ''Fremtiden'' ceased to appear in 2000.
