Fremtiden
''Fremtiden'' was a Norwegian newspaper, published in Drammen, Norway, between 1905 and 2000. It was an official publication of Norwegian Labour Party in Buskerud. History and profile ''Fremtiden'' was started in 1905. Its first editor was Torgeir Vraa, who edited the newspaper from its start until his death in 1934. The paper became the main organ for the Norwegian Labour Party in Buskerud. During the 1980s its circulation was around 20,000 copies. ''Fremtiden'' ceased to appear in 2000. The newspaper reappeared as ''Dagsavisen Fremtiden'' in 2013. This is a local edition of ''Dagsavisen ''Dagsavisen'' is a daily newspaper published in Oslo, Norway. Torgeir Vraa
Torgeir Tarjei Olavsson Vraa (16 May 1868 – 21 June 1934) was a Norwegian educator, newspaper editor and politician for the Labour Party. Biography He was born on the Rui farm in the parish of Fyresdal in Telemark. Upon graduating from Asker Seminary in 1889, he was hired as a school teacher in Modum. He married Maren Sofie Hansen (1870–1935) in October 1892. Vraa joined the Liberal Party, where Christopher Hornsrud was a leading figure on the left wing, but in 1897 the two joined the Norwegian Labour Party. From 1902 to 1904 he was a journalist in the Labour Party newspaper ''Social-Demokraten'' in Kristiania (now Oslo). From 17 May 1905 he was the first editor-in-chief of the newly established Labour Party newspaper '' Fremtiden'' in Drammen, where he contributed to defining local journalism as a genre. Drammen
Drammen () is a city and municipality in Viken (county), Viken, Norway. The port and river city of Drammen is centrally located in the south-eastern and most populated part of Norway. Drammen municipality also includes smaller towns and villages such as Konnerud, Svelvik, Mjøndalen and Skoger. Location Drammen is located west of the Oslofjord and is situated approximately 44 km South-west of Oslo. Buskerud
Buskerud () is a former county and a current electoral district in Norway, bordering Akershus, Oslo, Oppland, Sogn og Fjordane, Hordaland, Telemark and Vestfold. The region extends from the Oslofjord and Drammensfjorden in the southeast to Hardangervidda mountain range in the northwest. The county administration was in modern times located in Drammen. Buskerud was merged with Akershus and Østfold into the newly created Viken County on 1 January 2020. On the 23 February 2022 Viken County Council voted in a 49 against 38 decision to submit an application to the Norwegian government for a county demerger. ''Dagsavisen'' is a daily newspaper published in Oslo, Norway. The former party organ of the Norwegian Labour Party, the ties loosened over time from 1975 to 1999. It has borne several names, and was called ''Arbeiderbladet'' from 1923 to 1997. Eirik Hoff Lysholm is editor-in-chief. The newspaper depends on economic support from the Norwegian Government. History ''Dagsavisen'' was established by Christian Holtermann Knudsen in 1884 under the name ''Vort Arbeide'' ('Our Work' in archaic Riksmål), and was affiliated with the trade union center ''Fagforeningernes Centralkomité''.
