Arnstein Aassve
Arnstein Aassve (born June 19, 1968) is a Norwegian professor in demography, current director of the PhD program in Social and Political Science and former dean of the Undergraduate School at Bocconi University. His research lies in the intersection of sociology, demography and economics and is currently focused on studying the effects of globalisation and culture on demographic outcomes and trends. He is currently leading the FutuRes project (Towards a resilient future of Europe) funded by the Horizon Europe program. Education Aassve started his higher education career in 1988 with a BSc in economics, Law and Computer Science from Molde University College ( Norway). Molde () is a town and municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Romsdal. The European Research Council (ERC) is a public body for funding of scientific and technological research conducted within the European Union (EU). Dick Van De Kaa
Dirk Jan "Dick" van de Kaa (born 5 January 1933) is a Dutch demographer. From 1970 to 1987 he was the first director of the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute ( nl). From 1987 to 1995 he was director and rector of the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study. Van de Kaa was professor of demography at the University of Amsterdam between 1978 and 1998. Life Van de Kaa was born on 5 January 1933 in Scherpenzeel. His father was a mailman while his mother was a housewife. After attending primary school during World War II he attended the Hogere Burgerschool in Amersfoort. Van de Kaa obtained a degree in social geography at Utrecht University in 1959. After obtaining his degree he had to perform military service and was sent for training to become an officer in the Netherlands Marine Corps.
