Arnold Weiberg-Aurdal
Arnold Weiberg-Aurdal (18 June 1925 – 3 February 2016) was a Norwegian agronomist, military officer and politician for the Centre Party. He was born in Ålesund as a son of physician Bastian Weiberg-Aurdal (1891–1973) and nurse Elise Ringdal (1892–1959). He finished his secondary education in 1944, took agricultural school in 1945 and infantry training in 1947. He also served in the Independent Norwegian Brigade Group in Germany before graduating from the Norwegian College of Agriculture in 1953. He settled at the farm Velle in Sykkylven in the same year. He worked as the municipal agronomist of Stranda from 1954 to 1962 and of Sykkylven from 1962 to 1982. He was also a conscripti officer from 1958 to 1980, with the rank of lieutenant. He was a member of Sykkylven municipal council from 1955 to 1971 and 1987 to 1991, serving as mayor in 1963–1969 and 1990–1991. Norwegian Red (Norwegian: ''Norsk rødt fe'') is a breed of dairy cattle developed in Norway since 1935. Since the 1970s, breeders strongly emphasized functional and production traits resulting in excellent production combined with world-leading performance in health and fertility traits. Norwegian Red cows can have either a red and white or black coat and have a high proportion of genetically polled animals. Purpose and history Norwegian Red (NRF) is a dairy breed that has been selected for a broad breeding objective, with increasing emphasis on functional traits like health and fertility. Kjell Borgen
Kjell Borgen (21 October 1939 – 22 August 1996) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He served as Minister of Transport and Communications from 1986 to 1988, Minister of Local Government from 1988 to 1989 and again from 1990 to 1992. He served as County Governor of Hedmark from 1993 until his death. Early life and career He was born in Oslo as a son of a worker and a housewife. He attended the teacher's college at Elverum from 1960 to 1962. He worked as a secondary school teacher in Rendalen from 1962 to 1966, and also minored in Norwegian at the University of Oslo in 1964. From 1967 to 1972 he worked as headmaster at a combined primary-secondary school, and from 1972 he had a municipal administrative job. The King's Medal of Merit (Norwegian: ''Kongens fortjenstmedalje'') is a Norwegian award. It was instituted in 1908 to reward meritorious achievements in the fields of art, science, business, and public service. It is divided in two classes: gold and silver. The Frostating Court of Appeal ( no, Frostating lagmannsrett) is one of six courts of appeal in the Kingdom of Norway. The Court is located in the city of Trondheim. Sunnmøre District Court ( no, Sunnmøre tingrett) was a district court in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The court was based in the town of Ålesund. The court existed until 2021.
