Armênia, originally known as Ponte Pequena, is a metro station on São Paulo Metro Line 1 (São Paulo Metro), Line 1-Blue, located in the district of Bom Retiro (district of São Paulo), Bom Retiro, in São Paulo (city), São Paulo. History It was opened on 26 September 1975, named as Ponte Pequena, as a reference to the name of the location (the old bridge of Avenida Tiradentes over Tamanduateí River, which contrasted to the now demolished Ponte Grande, over Tietê River). On 12 November 1985, the station was renamed as a tribute for Armenian_Brazilians, Armenian immigrants in São Paulo, who financially helped in the construction of the station. Arujá is a city in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. It is part of the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo. The population is 91,157 (2020 est.) in an area of 96.17 km².
