Armenian National Movement Party
The Armenian National Movement (ANM) ( hy, Հայկական ազգային շարժում, translit=Hayots’ hamazgayin sharzhum kusakts’ut’yun) is a political party in Armenia. It is led by Ararat Zurabyan, the former Chairman of the Pan-Armenian National Movement and a former member of the Free Democrats. History The Armenian National Movement (ANM) traces its early history to the Pan-Armenian National Movement. The ANM joined the Armenian National Congress political coalition and endorsed Levon Ter-Petrosyan in the run up to the 2008 Armenian presidential election. The ANM, in addition to several other liberal parties, helped to organize protests ahead of the elections. Following the election, Levon Ter-Petrosyan came in second place, with Serzh Sargsyan being elected as President. Armenian National Liberation Movement
The Armenian national movement ( hy, Հայ ազգային-ազատագրական շարժում ''Hay azgayin-azatagrakan sharzhum'') included social, cultural, but primarily political and military movements that reached their height during World War I and the following years, initially seeking improved status for Armenians in the Ottoman and Russian Empires but eventually attempting to achieve an Armenian state. Influenced by the Age of Enlightenment and the rise of nationalism under the Ottoman Empire, the Armenian national movement developed in the early 1860s. Its emergence was similar to that of movements in the Balkan nations, especially the Greek revolutionaries who fought the Greek War of Independence. Hanrapetutyun Party
The Hanrapetutyun Party ( hy, Հանրապետություն կուսակցություն, lit=Republic Party) is a pro-European political party in Armenia. The party was founded by ex-members from the Republican Party of Armenia and members of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union: Aram Sargsyan, Albert Bazeyan, Vagharshak Harutiunyan, Ara Ketikyan, among others, in April 2001.
