The Armenian Olympic Committee (ARMNOC) ( hy, Հայաստանի ազգային օլիմպիական կոմիտե, translit=Hayastani Olimpiakan Komite) is responsible for Armenia's participation in the Olympic Games. Artur Davtyan
Artur Davtyan ( hy, Արթուր Դավթյան, born August 8, 1992) is an Armenian gymnast. He is a member of the Armenia national team in gymnastics. Davtyan is a bronze medalist in the men's vault event at the 2020 Summer Olympics, World Championship Gold Medalist in men's vault, European Youth Champion, silver medalist in the World Cup and an Olympian. Early life Arthur Davtyan was born on August 8, 1992, in Yerevan, Armenia. In 1998, at the age of 7, he began to do gymnastics. Since 2008, he is a member of the Armenian national gymnastics team. Career Youth In 2009, at the Youth Olympic Festival in Tampere, Finland, Davtyan, along with fellow Armenians Vahan Vardanyan and Arthur Tovmasyan, took 6th place in the team event among 23 teams. Artur Aleksanyan ( hy, Արթուր Ալեքսանյան, born 21 October 1991) is an Armenian Greco-Roman wrestler. He is an Olympic Champion (2016) as well as silver medalist (2021) and bronze medalist (2012), a four-time World Champion (2014, 2015, 2017, 2022), and a five-time European Champion (2012, 2013, 2014, 2018, 2020). Aleksanyan is the second Olympic gold medalist of Armenia since regaining independence in 1991 and is the most decorated Olympian of independent Armenia as well. He has been nicknamed the "White Bear" and is one of the most renowned Armenian athletes of the 21st century. Career Aleksanyan was born in Gyumri. He started Greco-Roman wrestling in 2000 under the guidance of his father Gevorg Aleksanyan, an honored coach of Armenia. Boxing At The 2019 European Games
At the 2019 European Games in Minsk, matches across fifteen weight categories in boxing were contested between 21 and 30 June 2019, of which ten were allocated to men and five were allocated to women. In contrast to 2015, this tournament doubled up as the 2019 European Amateur Boxing Championships for men. For women, it remained a separate tournament. Qualification There was a nominal allocation of 316 athlete quota places (256 men, 60 women) for boxing at the 2019 European Games. For the men's tournament, each National Olympic Committee (NOC) could simply enter one athlete per category.
