Armen Shahgeldyan
Armen Andranik Shahgeldyan ( hy, Արմեն Անդրանիկի Շահգելդյան; born 28 August 1973) is an Armenian football manager and former player who is currently the manager of Armenian club Sevan FC. He played as a striker for the Armenia national team, and finished his career for Armenian Premier League club FC Mika. Armen debuted for Armenia in 1992, when Armenia played its first international match after gaining independence in a friendly. He has been a member of the national team on and off throughout his career, and has scored six goals in 53 caps. Shahgeldyan was elected twice as the Armenian Footballer of the Year: in 1993 and 2006. He was the head coach of Mika Yerevan in the 2010 and 2011 seasons of Armenian Premier League. Football Club Pyunik Yerevan ( hy, Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ Փյունիկ Երևան, Futbolayin Akumb P’yunik Yerevan), commonly known as Pyunik ("Phoenix"), is an Armenian professional sports club based in the Kentron neighbourhood of Yerevan. The VBET Armenian Cup ( hy, Հայաստանի Անկախության Գավաթ) is the main football cup competition of Armenia. In its original form as the Armenian Cup, it started in 1939, when Armenia was a republic of the Soviet Union.
