Texarkana is a city in the U.S. state of Arkansas and the county seat of Miller County, on the southwest border of the state. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 29,387. Miller County is a county located in the southwestern corner of the U.S. state of Arkansas. As of the 2010 census, the population was 43,462. The county seat is Texarkana. Miller County is part of the Texarkana, TX-AR, Metropolitan Statistical Area. Interstate 49 (I-49) is an Interstate Highway in the state of Arkansas. There are two main sections of the highway across different sides of the state. The southern section starts at the Louisiana state line, then runs to Texarkana, at the Texas state line. The northern section begins at I-40 and at U.S. Highway 71 (US 71) in Alma and runs north to the Missouri state line, where the freeway continues into Missouri. The route of runs north from Highway 160 in the extreme southwest corner of the state along the east side of Texarkana to US 67. Arkansas Highway 134 (AR 134, Hwy. 134) is an east–west state highway in Miller County, Arkansas. The route of runs from US Route 71 (US 71) near Fouke to US 82 in Garland. Route description AR 134 begins near Fouke and runs east underneath Highway 549, but does not have a junction with the route. The route runs north near the Red River and runs to Highway 196.
