Arjun Vajpai
Arjun Vajpai (born 9 June 1993) is an Indian mountaineer, who climbed Mount Everest in 2010 at the age of 16 years, 11 months and 18 days, becoming the youngest Indian to climb Everest at that time. He is a good climber. He broke a record set by Krushnaa Patil of Maharashtra who climbed the Everest at the age of 19. On 20 May 2011, he became the Youngest person ever to summit Lhotse, aged 17 years, 11 months and 16 days. Vajpai also climbed Manaslu on 4 October 2011. After 3 failed attempts on Mount Makalu, he climbed it on 22 May 2016, during his fourth attempt. On 14 October 2015 Arjun Vajpai along with mountaineer Bhupesh Kumar scaled an unnamed peak high in Spiti valley, Himachal Pradesh and named it Mount Kalam in memory of late President of India A. P. Mount Everest (; Tibetan: ''Chomolungma'' ; ) is Earth's highest mountain above sea level, located in the Mahalangur Himal sub-range of the Himalayas. Nehru Institute Of Mountaineering
The Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM India) in Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand is an institute that was established on November 14, 1965. The institute was formed to honor the great desire of President Jawahar Lal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. History Nehru Institute of Mountaineering was first proposed by the Ministry of Defence, the Government of India, and the Government of Uttar Pradesh in 1964. The institute is built in Uttarkashi because it is close to the Gangotri region in Western Garhwali, which has good climbing and training potential in India. In August 2022, the institute hosted the national sports climbing championship. Kangchenjunga
Kangchenjunga, also spelled Kanchenjunga, Kanchanjanghā (), and Khangchendzonga, is the third highest mountain in the world. Eight-thousander
The International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation (UIAA) recognises eight-thousanders as the 14 mountains that are more than in height above sea level, and are considered to be sufficiently independent of neighbouring peaks. Krushnaa Patil
Krushnaa Patil is an Indian mountaineer. In 2009, at the age of 19, she became the youngest Indian woman to successfully ascent Mount Everest, earth's highest mountain. Her record of the youngest Indian to climb Everest has subsequently been surpassed by younger mountaineers. In 2010, Patil attempted to ascent the Seven Summits. Her last summit on Mount Denali had to be abandoned due to technical reasons, leaving her one short of completing the feat.
