Argentina National Under-17 Football Team
The Argentina national U-17 football team is the representative of Argentina within all FIFA sponsored tournaments that pertain to that age level. Argentina has participated in 14 of the 18 FIFA U-17 World Cups in which they finished in Third Place 3 times and Fourth Place twice. Argentina has also won the South American Under-17 Football Championship 4 times. Many of Argentina's top players came through the ranks of the U-17 teams, including Fernando Redondo, Nestor Fabbri, Roberto Bonano, Juan Sebastián Verón, Roberto Abbondanzieri, Franco Constanzo, Leonardo Biagini, Luciano Galletti, Marcelo Gallardo, Esteban Cambiasso, Gabriel Milito, Ezequiel González, Aldo Duscher, Lucas Biglia, Eduardo Salvio, Maxi López, Rodolfo Arruabarrena, Javier Mascherano and Carlos Tevez among others. Argentine Football Association
The Argentine Football Association ( es, Asociación del Fútbol Argentino, ; AFA) is the governing body of football in Argentina based in Buenos Aires. It organises the main divisions of Argentine league system (from Primera División to Torneo Regional Federal and Primera D), including domestic cups: Copa Argentina, Copa de la Liga Profesional and the Trofeo de Campeones de la Liga Profesional. The body also manages all the Argentina national teams, including the Senior, U-20, U-17, U-15, Olympic and women's squads. Secondly, it also organizes the women's, children, youth, futsal, and other local leagues. The AFA also organised all the Primera División championships from 1893 to 2016–17. South American Under-17 Football Championship
The South American U-17 Championship (; ) is a football competition held every two years for South American under-17 teams. The tournament was born in 1985 out of a need for a classification tournament for the newly created FIFA U-16 World Cup (now the FIFA U-17 World Cup). For the first three editions (1985, 1986, and 1988), the competition was limited to under-16 teams. Afterwards, the age limit was raised one year. Juan Sebastián Verón
Juan Sebastián Verón (; born 9 March 1975) is an Argentine former professional footballer and current chairman of Estudiantes de La Plata, where he had served as Director of Sports. A former midfielder, Verón's career started in Estudiantes, continued in Argentina's Boca Juniors, and included stints in several clubs in the Italian Serie A (where he won the '' Scudetto'' with Lazio and with Internazionale, and a UEFA Cup with Parma), and England's Manchester United and Chelsea. In 2006, Verón returned to Estudiantes, where he remained until his retirement in 2014, aside from a brief spell with Brandsen. He announced his short return to first team football would occur in the 2017 Copa Libertadores. At international level, Verón obtained 72 caps for Argentina between 1996 and 2010, scoring nine goals. Roberto Bonano
Roberto Oscar Bonano (born 24 January 1970) is an Argentine retired footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Already in his 30s, he moved from River Plate to Spain where he spent the remainder of his 17-year professional career in representation of three teams, mainly Alavés. Bonano earned 13 caps for Argentina, and was part of the squad at the 2002 World Cup. Playing career Club Born in Rosario, Santa Fe, Bonano represented in his native country Rosario Central and Club Atlético River Plate, winning several titles with the latter including five national championships. Fernando Carlos Redondo Neri (; born 6 June 1969) is an Argentine retired footballer. A defensive midfielder with the ability to contribute offensively and creatively, he turned professional playing for Argentinos Juniors and played one full decade in La Liga, for CD Tenerife and Real Madrid, then finished his career (curtailed by several injury problems) in Italy, with Milan.
