Arezzo Wave
Arezzo Wave is a famous Italian festival that takes place every July in Arezzo since 1987. Born exclusively as a launching platform for young Italian rock groups, in its current form, the festival lasts six days and is totally free of charge. In recent years, the festival has multiplied the number of its venues in the city and accommodated an ever-increasing number of extra-musical cultural activities. History The first edition of Arezzo Wave took place in 1987, entitled "Provincia insonne," featured sixteen emerging groups from all of Italy (without any recording contract) on four nights. The concerts took place in the Fortezza Medicea di Arezzo. In subsequent years, the festival has put faith in its "launching" work, also starting in parallel to call already-famous emerging groups onto the European scene. Carmen Consoli (; born 4 September 1974 in Catania) is an Italian singer-songwriter. Samuele Bersani
Samuele Bersani (born 1 October 1970, in Rimini, Italy) is an Italian singer-songwriter. He received the "Mia Martini" Critics Award at the Sanremo Music Festival in 2000 and in 2012, with the songs "Replay" and "Un pallone", respectively. Marlene Kuntz are an Italian Rock music, rock band formed in Cuneo in 1990. Initially they were inspired by the noise rock of Sonic Youth. History Marlene Kuntz began forming in 1987 consisting of Luca Bergia on drums and Riccardo Tesio on guitar. Franco Ballatore joined the band on bass guitar the following year and that winter they found a rehearsal room in Confreria. In 1989, Cristiano Godano joined the band playing guitar and writing songs. Alex Astegiano also came in as the singer. Negrita is an Italian rock band from Arezzo, Tuscany. Formed in 1991, the band was named after the song " Hey Negrita", included in The Rolling Stones' album ''Black and Blue'', released in 1976. The band currently consists of Paolo Bruni (also known as "Pau"), Enrico Salvi (known as "Drigo") and Cesare "Mac" Petricich. After recording several demos, the band's first album, ''Negrita'', was released in 1994 by Mercury and Black Out. Consorzio Suonatori Indipendenti (C.S.I.; English: ''Consortium of Independent Players'') is an Italian band that evolved from the former punk/art band CCCP Fedeli alla linea. C.S.I. were founded in 1992 by Giovanni Lindo Ferretti and Massimo Zamboni, along with original members of the Italian band Litfiba.
