Archibald Watson (mayor)
Archibald Watson was briefly the Lord Mayor of Brisbane in 1931. Watson had previously been Mayor of Toowong before the 1925 merger of the Brisbane councils. Personal life Archibald Watson was born on 22 October 1874 in Dundee, Angus, Scotland, the son of George Watson and his wife Mary Ann Gilruth (née Taylor). Dundee

Toowong Cemetery
Toowong Cemetery is a heritage-listed cemetery on the corner of Frederick Street and Mt Coot-tha Road, Toowong, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was established in 1866 and formally opened in 1875. It is Queensland's largest cemetery and is located on forty-four hectares of land at the corner of Frederick Street and Mount Coot-tha Road approximately four and a half kilometres west of Brisbane. It was previously known as Brisbane General Cemetery. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 31 December 2002. Although still used as a cemetery, it is a popular place for joggers and dog walkers, with its over-hanging fig trees and winding pathways. Harry Massey
Harry Massey was a politician in Queensland, Australia. He was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly for Toowong. Early life He was born in Melbourne, Victoria, on 6 June 1888. He became President of the Australian Natives' Association, Melbourne Branch at 21 years of age. He was also prominent in the YMCA, a member of the Commercial Travellers' Association, the Royal Queensland Yacht Club, the Constitutional Club and Indooroopilly Golf Club. Politics Massey was elected as an alderman of the Brisbane City Council for the Toowong ward in 1931 and held that role until 1937. Citizens' Municipal Organisation
The Citizens' Municipal Organisation (CMO), known before its expansion as the Citizens' Municipal Party (CMP), was an Australian political organisation that ran in local elections in the City of Brisbane. History The CMO was formed in 1936 after the recently-formed Citizens' Municipal Party decided to expand to a greater organisation, citing a desire to avoid party politics. Despite this claim, it was closely affiliated with the Queensland branch of the United Australia Party in the early part of the organisation's existence, before moving to the Queensland People's Party when the Queensland UAP separated in 1944. The Town of Toowong is a former local government area of Queensland, Australia, located in western Brisbane in the area around the current suburb of Toowong. History The Toowong Division was established on 11 November 1879 under the ''Divisional Boards Act 1879'' with a population of 1789. In May 1880, the more populated part of Toowong Division was proclaimed the Shire of Toowong, while the remaining part of the Toowong Division was renamed Indooroopilly Division.
