Espiritu Santo Parish, now known as the Archdiocesan Shrine of Espiritu Santo, is a Roman Catholic parish belonging to the Archdiocese of Manila that is located at 1912 Rizal Avenue corner Tayuman Street, Santa Cruz, Manila, Philippines. It was declared an Archdiocesan Shrine by Manila Archbishop Emeritus Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle on June 8, 2014, the Solemnity of the Pentecost. Rev. Msgr. Eymard Dennis Peter Marcelino S. Odiver, PC is the newly appointed parish priest and rector of the church, succeeding Rev. Fr. Wilmer R. Rosario, JCD, who has been its parish priest from 2015 to 2022. Rufino Jiao Santos (August 26, 1908 – September 3, 1973) was the 29th Archbishop of Manila from February 10, 1953, until his death on September 3, 1973, and was the first Filipino elevated to the rank of cardinal. William (Wilhelm) Finnemann (December 18, 1882 – October 26, 1942) was a priest of the Society of the Divine Word, auxiliary bishop of Manila and apostolic vicar of Calapan, the Philippines. He was martyred by the Japanese through being thrown into the sea near Verde Island off the coast of Batangas City, Batangas. Tayuman Street
Tayuman Street is a four-lane east-west street in northern Manila, Philippines. It stretches from the former San Lazaro Hippodrome in Santa Cruz to Barrio Pritil in Tondo district. The street is designated as part of Circumferential Road 2. Tayuman begins at an intersection with Lacson Avenue in Santa Cruz district fronting SM City San Lazaro. It crosses Rizal Avenue, passing underneath the Tayuman LRT Station where it continues past the headquarters of the Department of Health into the residential areas of Santa Cruz and Tondo.
