Archbishop's House (Chernihiv)
Archbishop House ( bn, আর্চ বিশপ হাউস) also known as Kakrail Church is an architecturally significant residence and church situated in Kakrail, Ramna Thana, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was first built in 1925, with a chapel on the east end. It had evolved 1947 in Lakkibazar (Puran Dhaka) and in 1957 it transferred to Kakrail. The present church was renovated in 1976. There are Gothic and Renaissance motifs inside and outside the structure and it is considered to be a fine example of post colonial fusion architecture. '' The Daily Star'' reported in 2009 that official listing as a national heritage site was imminent, but six years later the Department of Archaeology was still preparing the list of buildings to be preserved. Ramna Thana
Ramna Thana ( bn, রমনা থানা) is a police jurisdiction in central Dhaka. It is a historic colonial neighborhood. Once the site of Mughal gardens, it developed into an institutional area during British rule in the late 19th century. It became a focal point for Dhaka's modernization in the 1960s. It was the scene of many tumultuous events that ushered the independence of Bangladesh in 1971. The Ramna Thana falls under the jurisdiction of the Dhaka South City Corporation. Patrick D'Rozario, CSC ( bn, প্যাট্রিক ডি'রোজারিও, translit=Pyaṭrik ḍi'rojario; born 1 October 1943) is a Bangladeshi prelate of the Catholic Church who was Archbishop of Dhaka from 2011 to 2020. He became a cardinal in 2016, the first from Bangladesh. He led other dioceses in Bangladesh from 1995 to 2010. Theotonius Amal Ganguly
Theotonious Amal Ganguly, CSC, (18 January 1920, in Hashnabad, Bangladesh – 2 September 1977) was Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Dhaka from 1967 until his death on 2 September 1977. Archbishop Ganguly was a religious of the Congregation of Holy Cross. Career The local bishop sent him to the major seminary, called St. Albert's Seminary, run by the Jesuit Fathers at Ranchi of Bihar State, India. Michael Rozario
Michael Rozario (18 January 1926 – 18 March 2007) was a Bangladeshi prelate of the Catholic Church who served as archbishop of Dhaka from 1977 to 2005. He was bishop of Dinajpur from 1968 to 1977. Lawrence Leo Graner, CSC (April 3, 1901 – April 21, 1982) was Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Dhaka from July 15, 1950, to November 23, 1967. Paulinus Costa
Paulinus Costa (19 October 1936 – 3 January 2015) was the Roman Catholic Archbishop of the archdiocese of Dhaka from 2005 to 2011. Career Costa was born in Gazipur, Bangladesh. He was ordained as a priest on 21 December 1963. He was appointed the Bishop of Rajshahi on 11 January 1996, and was ordained on 26 April the same year. On 9 July 2005 he was appointed the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Dhaka by Pope Benedict XVI, replacing the deceased archbishop Michael Rosario.
