Arcadia High School (Arizona)
Arcadia High School is a public high school in Phoenix, Arizona. The school enrolls 1,680 students, who mostly come from feeder schools in the Scottsdale Unified School District. History The school was built 1958/59. It was designed by local architect Mel Ensign and built by Gilbert & Dolan Construction Co. The campus was noted for its round buildings and futuristic space age design. Between 2005 and 2008 much of the original campus was demolished and a new campus was built in its place. The new campus was designed by Orcutt/Winslow Partnership and built by DL Withers Construction Co. The circular library is the only original building that remains. Arcadia High School is a four-year comprehensive secondary school located on a site in Arcadia, California, United States. It is part of the Arcadia Unified School District. The high school was opened in 1952. The incoming freshman classes consist of students that feed in from Arcadia's three middle schools: First Avenue Middle School, Richard Henry Dana Middle School, and Foothills Middle School. The school has a teaching staff of 148. Four hold doctorate degrees, and 110 have master's degrees. The administrative staff consists of the principal, four assistant principals, and one dean of students. A staff of eight full-time and two part-time counselors hold master's degrees and Pupil Personnel Service Credentials, with two of the counselors licensed Marriage/Family/Child Counselors. Arcadia High School is a public 6-12 school in Arcadia, Louisiana, United States. It is a part of Bienville Parish School Board. As of the 2015–2016 school year, the school had 296 students, with 95% of them being classified as low income. History Professor John H. Davidson became the principal on July 28, 1903. He originated from Junction City, Louisiana. On September 3, 1907, the school had 300 students. In 1922, the voters of Arcadia passed a $100,000 bond to build another school building on a 76%-22% basis. The school auditorium and gymnasium building was destroyed by a fire in October 1973; the junior high school building was salvaged by firefighters and the senior high school did not get damaged. The athletic trophies dating from 1947 were destroyed. A bond for establishing a new school complex for Arcadia High was scheduled for January 15, 1974. Arcadia Charter School (often referred to as ARTech Charter School) is a project-based 6–12 charter school located in Northfield, Minnesota, United States. The school has previously been known as South-Eastern Minnesota School of Arts and Technology prior to 2003, and Northfield School of Arts and Technology from 2003 to 2012. History A community group that included Jim Blaha, Winona Estes, Maryrose Gondeck, Keith Johnson, Leisa Irwin, Paula Manor, Anne Mikkelson and Griff Wigley founded Northfield School of Arts and Technology in 2001, with the purpose of creating a project-based learning environment similar to New Country School in Henderson. Arcadia High School is a public high school in Oak Hall, Accomack County, Virginia, United States. It is one of three mainland high schools in the Accomack County Public Schools district. It serves students in the northern half of the county. The school mascot is the Firebird, which was chosen by the principal at the time, Mr Jack Gray. This mascot was relevant to the previous school that was there before, which was named the Cardinals.
