Arash Sobhani
Arash Sobhani ( fa, آرش سبحانی; born 3 January 1971 in Tehran) is an Iranian musician and television host. He is the lead singer and guitarist of underground rock band Kiosk and the host of ''OnTen'', a satirical news program that airs on VOA Persian. Sobhani was born and raised in Tehran, and attended Isfahan University of Art, from where he earned a MA in architecture. He moved to the United States in 2005 to release Kiosk's first album, ''Ordinary Man''. Since then Kiosk has released nine albums and has toured in various parts of the world. He has been an active advocate of human rights and democracy in Iran and has been invited to give speeches about Iranian cultural and social issues in various universities, including Harvard, Stanford, UCI etc. In 2019 Arash Sobhani produced the hit series ''Persia's Got Talent'' for the MBC Persia network. Tehran
Tehran (; fa, تهران ) is the largest city in Tehran Province and the capital of Iran. With a population of around 9 million in the city and around 16 million in the larger metropolitan area of Greater Tehran, Tehran is the most populous city in Iran and Western Asia, and has the second-largest metropolitan area in the Middle East, after Cairo. Iran International
Iran International ( fa, ایران اینترنشنال) is a Persian language news television channel headquartered in London, UK, aimed at Iranian viewers, and broadcasting free-to-air by satellite. Iran International was established in 2017 and is available online, via radio and via broadcasting to Iran. The channel has received media attention for its reporting on human rights violations, separatism in Iran, political developments, LGBTQ+ rights and women's rights in Iran and has twice been nominated for International Channel of the Year by the Association for International Broadcasting. It is also known that the channel has ties with the Saudi Arabian royal family, with some funding for the channel coming from people closely associated with the same. Kiosk (band)
Kiosk ( fa, کیوسک) is a rock band formed in Tehran in 2003, known for its blend of musical styles and its wry lyrics confronting Iranian cultural angst. History Kiosk is a pioneering Iranian rock band (The Berlin Daily Newspaper) founded by Arash Sobhani in Tehran in 2003. After censorship and restriction by Iranian authorities, its musicians immigrated to the U.S. and Canada. The band has since toured throughout the world and released seven albums. Persia's Got Talent
''Persia's Got Talent'' ( fa, پرشیاز گات تلنت) with acronym PGT is a spin-off of the British talent show ''Got Talent'' aimed at Persian-speaking audiences across the world, mainly in Iran ( also known as "Persia"). It is produced outside Iran and is aired on MBC Persia, part of the Middle East Broadcasting Center, since 31 January 2020. The first season was filmed in Sweden, which is home to a large Persian-speaking population.
