Aramaic
The Aramaic languages, short Aramaic ( syc, ܐܪܡܝܐ, Arāmāyā; oar, 𐤀𐤓𐤌𐤉𐤀; arc, 𐡀𐡓𐡌𐡉𐡀; tmr, אֲרָמִית), are a language family containing many varieties (languages and dialects) that originated in the ancient region of Syria. For over three thousand years, It is a sub-group of the Semitic languages. Aramaic varieties served as a language of public life and administration of ancient kingdoms and empires and also as a language of divine worship and religious study. Several modern varieties, namely the Neo-Aramaic languages, are still spoken in the present-day. Aram Bakshian
Aram Bakshian Jr. (March 11, 1944 – September 14, 2022) was an American political aide and speechwriter. He began his career working for Congressman Bill Brock (1966–70), then became a special assistant and speechwriter for Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Senator Bob Dole (1971). He joined the speechwriting staff of President Richard Nixon and, later, of President Ford (1972–75). He then became a senior consultant to Treasury Secretary William E. Simon (1976–77). Following his government service, Aram went on the lecture circuit as well as becoming a senior fellow at Harvard Kennedy School at Harvard University before being brought back for White House service. Aram Khalili ( fa, آرام خلیلی; born 28 July 1989) is an Iranian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Innstranden. He has represented the Norway U21 team. Aram Ilyich Khachaturian (; rus, Арам Ильич Хачатурян, , ɐˈram ɨˈlʲjitɕ xətɕɪtʊˈrʲan, Ru-Aram Ilyich Khachaturian.ogg; hy, Արամ Խաչատրյան, ''Aram Xačʿatryan''; 1 May 1978) was a Soviet and Armenian composer and conductor. Aram Karapetyan (born February 1, 1964 Yerevan) is an Armenian politician. In 1985 Karapetyan graduated from Yerevan Polytechnic Institute. He also worked in the Russian State Duma, the Duma Council for National Security, and the upper chamber of Russia's Federal Assembly. Aram Karamanoukian ( hy, Արամ Գարամանուկեան; 1 May 1910 – 23 December 1996) was a Lieutenant General of the Syrian Army. He was also member of the Syrian Parliament. He is the author of several books. For his work as a scholar and military serviceman, Karamanoukian received medals from Egypt, Armenia, Lebanon, Syria, and France. Life and career Aram Karamanoukian was born in May 1910 in Aintab (today Gaziantep), Ottoman Empire to his father Hagop (Effendi) Karamanoukian, a lawyer by profession, and his mother Mariam Leylekian. Aram Karam
Aram Karam (; born 1926) was one of the first great Iraqi footballers, who earned a reputation for scoring goals from apparently impossible long-range situations. He was an ethnic Assyrian and Christian. He was a son of a Levy soldier from Habbaniya. Aram was a striker capable of having the ball in the back of the net within a blink of an eye. After playing for various teams on RAF Hinaidi in Baghdad from 1936 in his youth, he joined Arsenal Sports Club Habbaniya in 1943 and later played for the C.C. Team and founded RAF Levy Civilian of Habbaniya. In 1951, Aram was one of 16 players to be selected to play for Iraq’s first ever national team. Aram Haigaz
Aram Haigaz (Armenian: Արամ Հայկազ - March 22, 1900 - March 10, 1986) was the pen name of Aram Chekenian, an Armenian writer who was born in the town of Shabin Karahisar, Ottoman Empire, and survived the Armenian genocide in 1915. He was a young boy when his birthplace was attacked, and his first book, ''The Fall of the Aerie'', published in English translation in 1935, is often cited by scholars and historians for its eyewitness details. He wrote ten books in his lifetime, as well as articles and essays for Armenian newspapers and magazines. Aram Gharabekian ( hy, Արամ Ղարաբեկյան, 4 July 1955 – 10 January 2014) was an Iranian-born Armenian conductor, former Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia. In 1983 he founded and until 1996 directed and conducted the ''Boston SinfoNova Orchestra''. Biography Aram Gharabekian was born into an Armenian family in Tehran, Iran, on 4 July 1955. He moved to the United States at the age of 17. He graduated from the New England Conservatory in Boston, then continued his postgraduate studies at Mainz University in Germany. He studied conducting with Franco Ferrara in Italy, and in 1979 became one of a few conducting pupils of Sergiu Celibidache in Germany.
