Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation
The Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF; ar, إتحاد كأس الخليج العربي لكرة القدم) is a regional association football body for eight Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation#Member_associations, member countries. It was established in May 2016, and its main competition is the Arabian Gulf Cup. History Several preparatory meetings were held in 2015 using the working title ''Gulf Football Federation''. The federation then was founded in 2016 as ''Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation'' to reflect the region's oldest competition: the Arabian Gulf Cup. Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Bin Ahmed Al-Thani, Hamad Bin Khalifa Bin Ahmed Al Thani of Qatar was named as the first president. 25th Arabian Gulf Cup
The 25th Arabian Gulf Cup, known as Khaleeji Zain 25 for sponsorship reasons, was the 25th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup, biennial football competition for the eight members of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation. The tournament was hosted in Iraq for the first time since 5th Arabian Gulf Cup, 1979, in the host city of Basra. Teams Draw The draw was held on 25 October 2022 at at the Grand Millennium Al Seef in Basra. The West Asian Football Federation (WAFF; ar, اتحاد غرب آسيا لكرة القدم, Ittiḥād Gharb Āsiyā li-Kurat al-Qadam), founded in 2001, is an association of the football playing nations in Western Asia. Its founding members are Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria. In 2009, three more associations joined the federation: Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
